Aonung wanted to show me something. So here we are, in the middle of the island. "You sure you know where are you taking me?" I asked, but he just rolled his eyes, "yea, I know exactly where I'm going.". "You sure? 'Cause I'm not,' I told him.

"Shhh, be quiet and look." he pointed towards a lake where Ilu's are playing and enjoying themselves. "Wow, they're beautiful," I whispered to Aonung.

They truly were beautiful. They had blue, purple, and black stripes on their back.

We watched them for a pit when Aonung wanted to see them closer. "You sure?" I asked, not sure if we should go. I didn't want to scare them off. Eventually, I agreed to go, so now we're making our way down to the lake.

They were more beautiful up close. I looked at them in awe. I looked at Aonung to see him already looking at me. "Why are you looking at me like that?" I asked, he smiled. " 'cause you're beautiful.'

Thank Eywa that there where we were is dark. Otherwise, you could see how I'm blushing.

I looked away from him, but he put his hand under my chin and turned my head back towards him, "I meant it. you truly are the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. "

"We should head back to the village," I said while standing up.

"Uh, yea, we should." he also stood up, and we started to walk back.

When we got back we said our goodbyes and went to our mauris. Stepping inside, I mentally slapped myself. How could I be so stupid?! It could've been my only chance. Now he probably thinks I don't like him! Only Kiri and Tuk have noticed Avyannas weird behaviour.

"Ava? Are you okay?" Tuk asked, making others look at her as well. "Yea, I'm perfectly fine," I smiled. "You sure?" Dad asked with worry. "Yeah." I smiled again and lay down.

The next day, we were all in the Chiefs, mauri, getting yelled at mostly, Loak, which didn't really surprise me, but it surprised me when Tonowari yelled at Tsireya.

"Sit," Tonowari spoke softly, but when no one was moving, he raised his voice, "Sit!" and we all sat.

I didn't listen to what they were talking about. I was thinking about yesterday and how I should've acted differently. I felt two pairs of eyes on me.

I looked up to see to see Aonung looking at me, an expression on his face I didn't quite understand. The second pair belonged to Ronal, who looked at me, then her son, then again me curiously.

"I'll take care of this one," Dad suddenly said, putting his hand on Loaks shoulder. Then we all exit the mauri. I went to take a little walk.

I was at the beach when someone came next to me. Ronal. "I saw the way my son looked at you earlier," she looked at the sea. I looked at her and waited for her to continue, "the expression on his face is the same his father had when we were younger, the look of love,".

Maybe I still have hope? I smiled at her then looked at the sea. "Do what you have to do" were her last words before she left.

I looked at the sea once more, and I had to find Aonung.
