The Light Piercing Duo

*the setting sun shines down on them in the forest clearing they're in, making the shadows more plentiful as the sun goes down, a deafening silence fills their ears*
Kobura: Shadowy prick…
Nocha: Those shadows have the consistency of mud and sludge… If there's too much, we could drown in it.
Kobura: *powers up, making a light around him with his aura* It's a good thing he's weak to light. As long as ki is around you, the dark gets weak. Who would've thought…
Nocha: *grins from the sarcasm, then gets serious again* If we stick to the plan, he should be easy pickings. Just follow my lead, and strike when you see an opening.
Kobura: Got it. *eyes narrow, cracking his neck*
Nightmare: *raises his hand, making shadows spike out of the ground and rush towards the duo* Enough of your whispering. *Dragon ball super the ultimate tag team theme plays*

Nocha and Kobura: *both quickly jump out of the way, but Nocha seemingly disappears in the darkness, while Kobura lands back on the ground and stays patient*
Nightmare: … *growls, swaying his hand to the side, causing a spike to shoot out after Nocha, but just as he does he takes a heavy hook right to the kidney from Kobura* G-gh—!! *goes to sledgehammer Kobura, but then he takes a knee to the back of the head from Nocha, making him stagger and miss* Rrrrrh…!! *when Nightmare shoots a ki blast at where Nocha is, Kobura elbows him on the side of the head, and when he's almost countered by a hook, Nocha kicks the back of Nightmare's knee, making him kneel down* Annoying insects…!!! *right when he looks up, he's met with two Superman punches straight to the face, making him actually tumble back from the force, when he pushes himself up he growls in frustration*
Tori: *watching the fight while still stuck to the tree, slowly smiling proudly* They really can… work together… I knew it… *slowly drifts into unconsciousness, closing his eyes with a grin*
Nocha: *runs around Nightmare with her left over needles, keeping an eye out for an opening* Come on, come on…!
Kobura: *charges at Nightmare, hitting him with a left right combo, just narrowly dodging his massive strikes* Hrrrraaah!!
Nightmare: *growls, keeps swinging until he finally sees an opening, quickly dodging Kobura's jab and hitting him with a cross counter* Hm!
Kobura: *grunts, stepping back and wiping blood off of his nose* Lucky shot!!
Nightmare: *feels Nocha's presence, turning his head and catching her needle right before it can hit an open spot on his head where his aura isn't covering* …
Nocha: Dammit…! *tries to sneak again but is immediately grabbed by a shadowy tendril, then thrown into Kobura at a breakneck speed* AGH!!
Kobura: SHIT—!! *both of them break through three trees before slamming against the last one, falling to the ground and struggling to get back up*
Nocha: *grunts, forcing herself to stand up, hunched over from the pain in her back* Not… y-yet… I won't let you… get what you want…! *powers up before suddenly disappearing, seemingly teleporting around in the dark to confuse Nightmare*
Nightmare: . . . *closes his eyes, standing still as he's circled by her afterimages*
Nocha: *finally appears behind him, going for a ki-infused hook right to his head* THERE!!
Nightmare: *opens his eyes but doesn't look back at her, raising his fist with a devastating uppercut to her jaw, launching her into the air*
Nocha: *eyes whited out, coughs up blood* ACK—!!!
Nightmare: *grabs her leg before she flies off too far, suddenly slamming her right into the ground hard enough to leave a crater* ENOUGH.
Nocha: *dust slowly clears around her, despite such a hardcore slam she still tries to push herself up* I-I… w-wo-on't…— *gets cut off by a kick right to the side, launching her and making her slam into a tree again* A-h-h….. *her hand moves just a bit more, before finally dropping to the ground, unmoving*
Kobura: *finally able to push himself up, but as he looks up he sees Nocha, his eyes shrink* N-Nocha…? *looks to the side and sees Tori, still getting covered by darkness* Master…?! *growls aggressively, his eyes beginning to go bloodshot from rage* Y-you… You…!! I'LL KILL YOU…!!! *just as he's about to fly after him, he's suddenly grabbed by the neck, making him gag and choke as he grabs Nightmare's hand desperately* A-ACK!! G-GGHHK—!!!
Nightmare: You've fought long enough, you miserable failure… I would give you a slow death, but I grew impatient.
Kobura: *punching Nightmare's arm desperately, not able to put a dent in his shadowy protection* AACK!! K-KHH!!! FUCK Y-YOU!!! GET O-OUT OF MY B-BROTHER!!!!
Nightmare: Shut up already. *without hesitation, a ki shockwave bursts right across Kobura's torso, a bright light coming out of him and into Nightmare's hand*
Kobura: A-H—-...... *eyes fade white, whole body goes limp*
Nightmare: *throws him aside, looking around at all of them out of commission, he sighs with relief* Such a bother. *shadows come out of him as he raises his hand, swallowing the light that came from Kobura, leaving no trace behind* Now, where is that Dragon Ball…? *walks away towards the house while , zooming in on Kobura's blank expression, unmoving…* (To Be Continued...)
