"Do I have to go?!" Zander exclaimed angrily at his sister. "Yes, Zander. I get you don't feel like going to the park but trust me, it'll be fun!" Hailey said, standing beside Zander who was practicing on his keyboard. Zander sighed in anger. "Fine... i'll go so you won't keep bugging me." Hailey grinned before walking towards the door of the room and leaving.
February 14th. Valentines Day. Many people were in good spirits, one including Hailey. Zander on the other hand, dreaded Valentines Day.
Ever since Luke moved to a different state for University, Zander would only get to see his boyfriend about three or two weeks a year. This impacted their relationship greatly, but the two have known each other for to long to let something get in the way of their feelings for one another.
What Zander didn't know is Hailey was planning something. Usually, the park would remind Zander of Luke. How they would always walk through the park to get to school almost every morning, their occasional dates, and walking together during the sunset.
Hailey was planning on surprising Zander with a date with Luke for Valentines Day, considering it's been so long since they have seen one another. Luke decided to travel back home for the week to spend time with his aunt and friends, which Zander was currently unaware of.

After a few minutes, Zander had made his way downstairs. Hailey looked up from her phone as she and her brother then both headed towards the front door.
"So why are we doing this again?" Zander asked as him and Hailey continued to walk at a steady pace. "You'll see.." Hailey replied. "I know today might not be the best day for you considering you haven't seen Luke in forever, but I figured I could do something to make you feel better."
"Thank you, Hailey. It wasn't very necessary but I appreciate you looking out for me." Zander said. "Of course. Your my brother, I will always look out for you." Zander smiled at Hailey's thoughtful words.

For the rest of their short walk, they remained in silence. Eventually, Hailey stopped walking and peered over to Zander. He stopped walking as well and looked at Hailey very confused.
"Why did you stop walking?" Hailey smirked. "Look behind you." she said suspiciously. Zander slowly turned around and was face to face with a tall auburn-haired boy with golden eyes that glimmered in the light.
Luke.
"Happy Valentines, Baby.." Luke said in a soft tone. Zander hugged Luke, his arms grasped tightly around the drummer's torso. "I missed you so much.." Zander whispered as he kissed Luke passionately on the cheek.
Hailey stood a few feet away, watching as the couple reunited. "Mission success." she thought to herself.

A Few Hours Later;
As the golden sun was setting over the horizon, the long distance couple watched the daylight fade away from Zander's bedroom window.
Luke had his arm draped around his boyfriend who was slowly falling asleep on his lover's shoulder. The pair looked at each other, smiles spread across their faces.
They shared a quick passionate kiss before Zander snuggled back onto Luke's shoulder, falling asleep shortly after.
Luke smiled at the sight of his lover. He looked so calm as he slept.
