zander's pov:

"he means everything to me."

that phrase was said repeatedly in my mind, as we gazed up at the sunset. the sky was a pure golden, just like his eyes.

i turned my gaze towards luke every so often to catch a glimpse of his stunning features. though he never seemed to notice. he kept his full attention towards the setting sun, as he held a steady grip on my hand.

it was only us in this moment. we were immensely far from the city, so there was no way in certain that someone could find us. earth certainly was a beautiful place. too bad my actions leaded me to becoming a demon. how foolish i was in the past surely preceded my future.

something caused me to fill more with stress. how dangerous this was for both luke and i. our relationship was a major risk for the both of us but our love for one another was stronger than our issues we faced

"i'm sorry" i muttered out. luke somehow managed to hear for his gaze turned towards me. he looked at me with sadness in his gleaming eyes. "what are you sorry for, love?" he said, sadness was in his tone. he raised his free hand and his fingers slowly ran down the side of my face.

"the things i've done. why i am who i am. if i never would've made such terrible decisions and mistakes as a human, i wouldn't be like.. well... this. and it's me to blame why our relationship could end terribly."

his reaction. he looked so upset from what i just said about myself.

"darling, why would you say such a thing? you know i love you for who you are. angel or demon, you will always be a light in my life. and no matter how terrible the consequences are, i would never leave you. thats all in the past, put all those memories behind and look towards a bright future." he said softly.

i smiled quite brightly, perhaps for the first time in a while. swiftly, i wrapped my arms around his waist and buried my face into his chest. he gently hugged in return, planting a gentle kiss on my head.

"thank you. i needed that." i muttered. we laid there as stars began to shine and the night sky became more visible over time. i peered up at him once more. he was looking far into the distance as his fingers gently ran through my hair.

"you really are an angel sent from heaven, luke." i said. he peered downwards at me, a tint of rosy pink spread across his cheeks. he softly laughed at my remark.

"i love you, zan."
"love you too."

and it was there we fell into a slumber, wrapped in each other's embrace.
