Chapter 23

'Jagi~ I'm sorry I couldn't make it in time to accompany you to the doctors like I promised...'

'It's fine'

'You know it's not'

'It's fine'

'Jagi~ Baby~'

'I'm going to close my eyes for a while'

'Ok...'

Jeonghan felt guilty for breaking his promise. He did try to leave the conference early but with all his international partners around, there was no way he could.

He quietly sighed. He didn't break his promise on purpose...

(Back home)

Minji was still quiet and the atmosphere in the house was really stressful for Jeonghan.

'Minji...'

'I'M FINE!'

'No you are not! I know you!'

'Well, if you knew me, YOU WOULDN'T HAVE LEFT ME ALONE TO GO VISIT THE DOCTOR!'

'I was held back at the conference Minji... You know that'

Jeonghan was trying his best not to explode at Minji, while Minji was already expressing out all her anger and frustration.

'No I did not! I only knew after Dokyeom oppa told me! I glad he came with me even though no one asked him to. I'm very sure he wouldn't have left his wife alone at home and get her to visit the doctors herself'

'KIM MINJI!'

Jeonghan turned around and punched the nearest wall. He was pissed off with how Minji compared him to his friend. It hurt him so much to know his wife didn't have any trust in him.

Minji flinched even though he wasn't that near to her.

'I'm sorry I tried to care and leave the conference early while they were still interviewing me. I'm sorry I bothered to rush to the doctors to be with you. I'm sorry I couldn't be there with you just like your Dokyeom oppa'

Jeonghan ran to their shared room, took his pillow, an extra blanket and went to the guest room before Minji could even react.

Minji broke down crying. She didn't mean to get mad at Jeonghan or to have a fight. She was just stress about how to tell him but look at how that turned out.

(After a few hours)

Minji prepared dinner with the little energy she had and placed the food on the table. She was about to call Jeonghan down for dinner when she remembered they weren't on talking terms.

Minji stared at her food. She was still waiting for Jeonghan to magically appear. She was hungry and there was a child inside of her so she couldn't afford to starve herself or the baby, especially after Dr. Wonwoo's advice.

The moment Minji picked up her chopsticks and took her first bite, Jeonghan walked down. He saw her and sat on the step, admiring his wife eating.

'Does she really think I am completely at fault...? Is this the end, again?'

He knew Minji would always wait for him to eat together since she hated eating alone even though they were just at home.

Jeonghan didn't come down for dinner even after Minji finished eating so she packed the food away. Minji took a cup of hot chocolate and left it outside his door, attached with a little note.

'You didn't eat and I don't want you to starve. Here's a cup of hot chocolate. If you are hungry, there is food in the fridge. Just heat it up when you need to'

She knocked the door and left. Jeonghan saw the note but he couldn't tell if she actually cared or she was just doing her job.

Jeonghan went down and prepared his food before taking his phone to video call Dokyeom.

'Dokyeom ah'

'Hyung!! Congratulations!!!'

'Congratulations? For what?'

'Ayee don't pretend! You know Minji is pregnant!'

'Pregnant??'

'Oh shit. I'm guessing she hasn't told you... heheh'

Dokyeom was now scared. He wasn't prepared to be killed by Minji. What worse? If she told Joshua and Wonwoo that he could not keep a secret.

'Hyung, mianhae... I thought she would tell you. She said she wanted to tell you herself'

'It's fine. Dokyeom-ah, can I ask you a question?'

'Sure'

'Who is the father?'

There was silence. Dokyeom could not believe his ears. What did Jeonghan just ask?! Did he just question Minji's loyalty to him?

'Jeonghan hyung, I don't know what you are up to but if you are questioning your wife's loyalty towards you, I don't think you are suitable for her'

'Oh really? I'm not suitable? Then tell me who is! You?! Seungcheol?! I love Minji more than you understand!'

'THEN START ACTING LIKE IT! She was really hurt hyung. She really wanted you beside her to enter the place, visit the doctor and open the results. You know? Everytime Wonwoo hyung gave her a test, she would say 'I want Jeonghannie'. I don't know how many times your name was mentioned. She loves you hyung. Please don't question that'

Dokyeom's voice was a lot softer now. He read peoples expression easily so he know Jeonghan was feeling guilty now.

'I'm sorry Dokyeommie...'

'It's fine. Go settle the feud between the two of you and go take care of her'

'How did you know we are having a fight?'

'Yoon Jeonghan would never get mad unless he is hurt and his wife isn't with him'

'HAHAHA thanks Kyeom~ Goodbye'

'Bye hyung'

Jeonghan ends the call with Dokyeom and calls Wonwoo.

'Hyung'

'Wonwoo-ya, how should I take care of Minji?'

Wonwoo starts explaining what Minji could and should not do, what she could and should eat, food she had to avoid and behavioural changes.

Jeonghan mentally noted everything.

'One last thing hyung. Her pregnancy stage isn't the stable yet so please do not agitate her and no sex for these two weeks'

'O-ok. Thanks Won. I'll go check up on Minji. I'll book another appointment for her soon'

'Ok. Bye hyung'

Jeonghan ended the call and sighed. Why didn't Minji tell him? Was she really against the idea of having a child? Did she intend to remove the child?
