Chapter 27 (Day 1)

'Jagi!'

'Hmm?'

Minji turned around to see Jeonghan running into the kitchen panicking.

He back hugged her, burying his nose in her neck and inhaled her scent to calm himself down.

'What's wrong?'

'Youngji and Seunghan are gone!'

Jeonghan exclaimed, feeling more distressed.

'They are with Cheollie oppa and the rest'

'Why?'

'I wanted you to have a rest. You've been working hard... sorry for not telling you earlier... I know you won't agree'

'Thank you baby~ but you know I'm not tired from taking care of them...'

'I know you Hannie. Just rest for this week? Please?'

'Of course'

(At night)

Jeonghan: Ya! Let me see my kids

Scoups: They are sleeping. Don't disturb them...

Jeonghan: Just face the camera towards them

Dino: Hyung... come here
(Dino whispered to Scoups Hyung from afar)

Scoups: Jun, come talk to Jeonghan

Jun: Hi Jeonghan hyung!

Jeonghan: Jun-nie let me see my kids please?

Jun: Where's Minji? She hasn't spoken to us after passing us your kids

Jeonghan: Stop changing the topic~~ Why can't you show me my kids?

Minghao: Ge! Come here!
(Minghao calls Jun over in Chinese)

Jun: Seungkwan ah! Come talk to hyung

Seungkwan: Hyung! I haven't heard from you in so long! How are you?

Jeonghan: I'm fine. Thanks. Can I see my kids?

Seungkwan: Noona said she doesn't want you to think about the kids so no

Jeonghan: Please... Seungkwan-ie~ I miss them so much

Seungkwan: Hyung... I love noona more than you so I'm sorry noona's words mean more~ hehe

Jeonghan: She is literally younger than you~ stop calling her noona and that's not fair!

Mingyu: Ya! Haraboji! Just trust the kids with us! Goodnight!

Mingyu abruptly ended the call and placed the phone away.

He turned around and scratched his head, taking in the scene in front of him. Seunghan and Youngji has market ink all over their hands. They were close to turning 2 so they were learning to colour random things.

Hoshi was left in charge for that hour and he thought it was a great idea to leave them alone with permanent markers. Now they were facing the situation of having to clean the skin without rubbing too hard.

They didn't want Jeonghan to see the state of his children especially since it was only day 1.

'Jagiya... They didn't allow me to see the kids'

Jeonghan sulked and whined to his wife who was in bed reading.

'They are probably sleeping or just showering, don't worry my prince'

'Maybe you're right'

'Babe, I have something to tell you'

'What is it?'

Jeonghan was scared since Minji's tone was serious.

'I wish to read in peace tonight'

(Silence)

'If that is ok'

Minji quickly added, seeing Jeonghan's expression and lack of reply.

'Ye-yeah... Sorry for disturbing you'

Jeonghan climbed out of bed after apologising and headed to the bathroom.

Minji looked at his back and took out her phone.

'Clean their skin right away and make sure there are no marker ink left on them before any of you sleep tonight. If anything happens due to this, I am ending all your child making factories'

'Argh! Ne! We are really sorry!'

Minji knew what happened since Seungcheol felt it was only right to tell the kids parents but they knew Jeonghan would brutally murder them so they told Minji, thinking she would be nicer. Well, clearly he guessed wrong.

Minji didn't want to worry Jeonghan so she kept it from him. She now felt bad for making Jeonghan leave.

She left the bed and saw Jeonghan sleeping on the couch with the TV on.

'My prince, please wake up and come back to the room'

'I don't want to disturb you'

'I'm done with the book'

'No it's fine'

'But I'm not reading anymore'

'Take the whole bed for yourself. Don't worry about it tonight'

'Jagi...'

Jeonghan ignored her and continued sleeping. He wasn't mad at her for chasing him away. He was just too lazy to climb the stairs and back into bed.

Minji walked back to the bedroom and gathered her blanket as well as a spare one.

Jeonghan peeked open his eyes and felt lonely. Did his wife just leave him alone?

Minji came back down a few seconds later and threw the spare blanket onto Jeonghan.

Positioning herself on the floor beside him, Minji held gently onto one of his hand and leaned her head on the couch, close to his chest.

Jeonghan reached his other hand to her head and played with her hair, lulling her to sleep.

Haven't posted in so long... Been really stressed about my exam results coming out soon ㅠㅠ Hope you guys are enjoying the book ^^
