Chapter 43

'YOU WHAT? YOON JEONGHAN!'

Mingyu punched Jeonghan across the face. Jeonghan collapsed on the floor, holding his bruised face and bleeding nose.

'After all the chances I've given you to love my sister, you are going to divorce her? Why? Just because she can't give you anymore children?! You are a selfish asshole Yoon Jeonghan'

'Stop insulting me! Listen to my explanation first!'

'Fine! Go ahead! Explain!'

'Our marriage was built on a contract. There was no love or anything. I know we developed feelings after that but I want to start anew. Restart the marriage between us. I want to propose to her again and love her all over again'

Mingyu froze. He just punched Jeonghan. Minji is going to kill him. Wonwoo is going to kill him.

'Oppa! Wonwoo oppa is so cute! He- HANNIE!'

Minji ran to Jeonghan and gently brushed his bruise.

'Minji, I-'

'Don't worry oppa, I know what he did. He told me his plan last night and I told him this would happen'

Minji lovingly pressed onto his bruise, making him cry out in pain and pouted afterwards.

'Why are you Kim siblings so mean to me'

'You deserve it hyung'

Wonwoo hugged Mingyu from behind and swayed their bodies while Minji went to take care of Jeonghan's injuries.

'We also have something to tell you two. Don't freak out. Don't scold me'

Mingyu narrowed his eyes at Minji as he said the last sentence.

'Go ahead'

Wonwoo squeezed Mingyu's hand before talking.

'I... I am... I am pregnant'

The ice bag drops. Minji and Jeonghan are in shock. Male pregnancy was as common as female pregnancy (in their world) but they never expected Wonwoo to be pregnant before their marriage.

'Yah! Kim Mingyu! I thought you knew better'

'I didn't expect that to happen! I hate to use condom and I think you hate to use it too. So this happened'

'Wonwoo oppa, how are you feeling?'

They jokingly ignored Mingyu while he pouted and went around sulking.

(Time skip a few years)

'Seunghan hyung!'

'Minseok-ie!!'

They were out to play together. Seunghan and Youngji loved Minseok a lot and he adored them back. Today, it was a boys day out since Youngji was doing a project work.

Jeonghan and Minji were out of town but Wonwoo gave him permission to bring Minseok out to the mall.

A 13-year olds and a 7 years old. What could go wrong?

When Seunghan was both looking at a soft toy to buy for Minji, Minseok took the opportunity to play hide and seek without telling him. He ran off and his behind some shelves, keeping an eye on Seunghan.

'Minseok ah, do you think this is cute? Do you want one?'

There was no response. Seunghan turned around and saw no one.

'Minseok?'

He started panicking and calling for Minseok. After close to an hour, he still could not find Minseok. Minseok hid behind the pillars and the walls to hide from them.

'Seunghan! Didn't know you guys were here! Isn't today your day out with Minseok-ie?'

'Mingyu samchon! Ne...'

'Where's he?'

Seunghan kept quiet, unsure of how to tell him that he lost his child.

'Where is he?'

'I... lost him... I was looking at soft toys for eomma but when I turned around, he was gone'

'YOU WHAT?!'

Before he knew it, Mingyu slapped Seunghan across his face.

'HOW DARE YOU LOSE MY SON?!'

'He could have wandered off... I'm really sorry samchon'

'Apologising doesn't work!'

He grabbed Seunghan's by his collar and glared at him.

'If anything happens to my son, I'm holding you responsible'

Suddenly cries could be heard from behind the wall.

Mingyu let go of Seunghan and ran towards the cries.

'MINSEOK!'

Mingyu ran to his son but was pushed away.

'Minseok? It's appa, what's wrong?'

'I want... Seunghannie hyung'

'No. He lost you'

'Seunghannie hyung~'

Seunghan carried Minseok in his arms and apologised for losing him.

'Can you bring me to papa?'

Minseok asked in between his sobs.

Seunghan wiped his tears and supported Minseok in his arms.

'Hyung, mianhae... I shouldn't have ran away to play hide and seek'

'Don't worry Minseok-ie, as long you are safe. Let's go find your papa ok? You want to hold Mingyu samchon's hand?'

'Aniyo... Seunghannie hyung'

'It's ok baby, I'm here. Did anybody hurt you?'

'No'

Minseok kept quiet after. He didn't say a word to Seunghan or Mingyu. He completely ignored his father, putting his attention all on Seunghan until they reached Wonwoo's office which was a walking distance.
