Mycroft was getting tired of being at home all the time, even though he was supposed to be on maternity leave considering he was nine months pregnant and very close to his due date, he practically begged Greg to allow him to go to his office for the day, he had an important meeting he couldn't afford to miss.

Greg grumbled in protest but finally agreed. "Alright, alright. But if you have so much as a Braxton Hicks contraction, call me, okay?"

Mycroft nodded and happily kissed his lips. "I promise, thank you"

With that, Greg took Mycroft to his office, right before he left, he told Anthea, Mycroft's assistant, to call him if he had any contractions at all.

She nodded. "Yes Sir. He does have a very important meeting though. It might be hard but I promise to call you if he experiences any pain"

"Thank you, Anthea" Greg felt very hesitant to leave, but he had to go to Scotland Yard, so, he waved toward her and then left.

Mycroft settled himself at his desk and let out a heavy sigh, rubbing the underside of his sore belly.

He actually had been experiencing a bit of pain here and there but didn't think much of it.

Unfortunately, he couldn't focus on his work with the constant movement from the baby.

He leaned back in his chair and sighed softly, massaging his belly to try and calm the baby down, or at least attempt to.

After a few minutes, he was called for a meeting, he stood from his place and grunted softly upon feeling a slight cramp.

Once it went away, he walked into the meeting room and took a seat.

The meeting was supposed to last for an hour and a half, but for some odd reason, he couldn't even focus because the mild pains he had been feeling beforehand started getting worse and it felt like he couldn't get comfortable in his chair no matter how much he adjusted himself.

"Is everything okay, Mr. Holmes?" One of his coworkers asked in concern.

"Ah, yes, yes, I'm fine. Just a bit uncomfortable is all" he reassured, wincing softly upon feeling another pain.

He managed to listen as the meeting went on, after fifteen minutes, however, he let out a soft gasp when he felt a particularly rough pain and a warm feeling soaking between his legs.

Oh god... Not now... Not now!

He had to bite down roughly on his bottom lip to keep himself quiet, his hand resting against his contracting belly.

He nearly fell from his chair a few times, everyone kept looking over at him.

"Mr. Holmes, you are aware of the importance of this meeting, correct?"

He nodded. "O-of course I am, I am just suddenly feeling a bit under the weather" he finally stood up and everyone noticed that there was a wet spot on his pants, which meant that his water must've broken at one point during the meeting.

"Are you sure you're feeling alright? You are full term in your pregnancy"

He huffed out a sharp breath and gripped onto the table. "No, I'm not alright, I think I've been in labor this whole time. My husband will surely pitch a fit"

A few of the men and women in the meeting room began to gather around him.

"Sir, perhaps you should sit back down?"

He shook his head. "I'm afraid I can't sit down, it's extremely uncomfortable. Just leave me be, I will be fine. I will have to call Greg though, I'd hate to because I know he's busy today, but his son has decided to make a surprise appearance" he groaned, his knees buckling underneath him.
