"You have reached your destination," her Google maps informed her as she pulled into the neatly paved parking lot of her massive workplace.

"Wow." She breathed.

It was so much to take in. She knew she would be working at a large office, much larger than any of her previous workspaces- but this place was massive. It rose sky high, in fact she had to crane her neck to see the top of it, and was covered with crystal clear windows all around. The building inside was lit with warm lighting. It looked gorgeous- she couldn't even imagine how it would look at nighttime, and suddenly she wondered why she decided to take the day time shift in the first place. It was most likely another rushed decision that she put little to no thought to.

However, the past could not be changed. She wasn't even sure if there was an available night time shift to take. She inhaled, praying that she wouldn't get fired today.

"Right, I'm just a data entry clerk." Sophie reminded herself, turning off the car. "There's no way I can mess up such a straightforward job description."

Right?

She was about to hop out, but her phone started to vibrate. She picked it up.

Ryan, her boyfriend, was calling her. She smiled at the sweet gesture- and as for his less than perfect timing, she could care less. She cleared her throat, and tugged a loose eyelash. (A nervous habit of hers.) "Hi Ryan." She said timidly as she answered the phone. "Hey babe." Responded his smooth voice over the phone. She imagined he was getting ready to go to his own job. He had a more intriguing job than a data entry clerk- he managed a small café business in their small town.

(A.N: I HATE WRITING THIS PART AS MUCH A YOU HATE READING IT. DONT WORRY, ILL END THE RYAN MISERY SOON <3 )

She tugged another eyelash when she heard the sound of "babe," over the phone. She still wasn't quite used to being called "babe." She didn't necessarily dislike it, but it felt strange and unfamiliar to her. "Is now a good time?" He asked sincerely.

"Well, to be honest, I'm about to head in to work." Sophie replied after a moment's hesitation.

"Alright, no problem. Since tomorrow's our one month anniversary.. I booked a reservation for your favorite Italian restaurant nearby." He said smoothly. Her smile grew wider. He remembered! She didn't even remember. What a horrible girlfriend she was. "Ah- okay. Sounds- thanks!" She stammered, uncertain of which word she was trying to use. She was still overwhelmed from the role of being a "girlfriend." Even after almost a month. Thankfully, Ryan just laughed and said "no problem, can't wait to see you then. Have a nice day at work. If anyone flirts with you.."

"Ryan!" She giggled, cheeks flushing slightly.

"I'm just sayin." He chuckled.

"I'm hanging up now, bye." She said lightly, pressing the hang up button. She was bombarded with texts from Biana that she hadn't yet responded to- most likely either sending her an outfit that would look "darling," or "stunning," on her- or rambling on about her latest boyfriend.

"Sorry Bi, you'll have to wait." She sighed, putting her phone in her coat pocket.

She was dressed quite fashionably today, at least she thought so.
