Part 16 (KISS SCENE AHEADDDDDDDDDDDDD)

(A/N: Welllll.... You probably know what I'm gonna say. Should we skip the part where I apologize for being gone for wayyy too long again? But really, I know I do it way too much but I am very sorry 🥲!! No promises it won't happen again, but definitely will try to update more. I swear I still love writing more than ever... Great, that sounded unconvincing. Anyways, I think you've read enough about me. On to the story!)

"But Keefe, I think there's something else we need to talk about."
"Something else? I don't think- oh, wait. Oh. You mean.." His tone fell flat, maybe even sounding a bit dejected. It was the voice of someone who had prepared himself for rejection. which was so unlike the ever confident Keefe Sencen. Maybe he was just used to being rejected by people he cared about.
  "Listen, about that. It's fine if you don't feel the same, I guess I just.."
Well, this time he was wrong. She wasn't going to reject him.
Sophie put her hand on his, making his searching eyes meet her own.
"Who told you I didn't feel the same way?"

Sophie grabbed his tie, pulling him down to her level so nobody else could see what she was about to do.

(A/N: No, she isn't about to murder our boy the Keefester. I know that sentence sounded bad, but I swear nothing suspicious is going on here.. probably.)

Sophie locked her eyes on Keefe's lips. She hadn't really scripted out how this would go in her head, but as nervous as she was, she also kinda really wanted to kiss Keefe.
And this kinda really felt right.

She waited for his soft gaze to land on her lips once, then Sophie quickly went in for a kiss, unable to put it off any longer.
She pulled away quickly, surprised by the electric-like jolt that shot through her as their lips met. Keefe smirked and pulled her closer, leaving his hands rested on the top of her chair as he stooped down lower. He didn't have to say anything. She felt like she was literally on fire and she was pretty sure her face needed an entire fire truck to make the burning sensation stop at this rate. Great, now her fear of fires were even greater.

(A/N: I AM SO SORRY THOSE LAST SENTENCES SOUNDED LIKE A TERRIBLE DAD JOKE BUT I AM NOT GOING TO TAKE IT OUT BECAUSE IT IS ADDING WORDS IN MY STORY AND I NEED MORE WORDS BECAUSE I DO NOT KNOW WHAT ELSE TO WRITE.)

..And his soft lips collided with hers once more, but this time she didn't pull away right away. Sophie was pretty sure she almost forgot how to breathe as he brushed his hand through her hair, and she almost didn't want him to stop but she remembered that they were at work and it wouldn't be that hard for somebody to see them. With that thought in mind, she softly pulled away.

Keefe's eyes lingered on her lips, then made their way to her own eyes.
Okay, she was definitely forgetting how to breathe and properly function because Keefe Sencen just kissed her on the lips.
"I.." Sophie breathed, unsure of what to say, what even is there to say after someone kisses you? "Thanks for pretty much giving me a heart attack but also please keep kissing me?"
.. Well that's what she was thinking.
"I'll pick you up tonight at 7:00?" He asked, his own pink cheeks quickly fading back to a normal color as his lips drew upward into a smile.
"Sounds like a date." She said, still dazed.
