(A/N: enjoy the chapter! ^^ <3 thanks for the comments!! They seriously make my day. Be prepared for a bit of sokeefe romaaaance in this chapter :^))

Keefe snickered as Fitz cracked a joke. Sophie remained silent.
"Hey Foster, you're being awfully quiet—" he said, starting to turn around in his bar stool.
She was passed out completely, and a little bit of drool was hanging out of her open mouth.
"Sophie?" Fitz said softly, his voice tinged with confusion. Keefe poked her rib, and she snored. Her cheeks were flushed a distinctive shade of pink as if she'd been drinking too much..
"Alcohol." Keefe concluded, holding up the clear glass cup she must have consumed.
"She drank that? The whole thing?" Fitz exclaimed.
Keefe inspected the small cup. Vodka, no wonder.
"Yep. There's no way she could have done it on purpose. She must have gotten this and her cup mixed up."
"Of course she did." Fitz sighed.
"Listen, I'll give you money to take care of the check, but I don't think it's a good idea to keep her here any longer in this state." Keefe said, glancing at the passed out Sophie, who snored again in response.
"It's fine, I'll take care of it." Fitz said, calling the bartender over. "Just get her home safely." There was an edge to his voice. It was definitely a command.
"No problemo." Keefe said, saluting. He wanted her to get home safely just as much as Fitz did. Fitz looked skeptical, but he just nodded. "Can you carry her by yourself?"
"Yep." Keefe said, trying to lift her. "She's light as a-" Keefe's voice cut off as he struggled to lift her. "Hold that thought."
He finally settled as to holding her on his back, her arms draped over his shoulders and his hands around her legs so she wouldn't fall. "As I said, light as a feather." He said smugly, wincing as she weighed him down.
Fitz pursed his lips. "Are you sure you don't want me to come with y-"
Keefe patted his friend on the back awkwardly. "As your father would say, 'No reason to worry.'" He quoted, quickly wrapping his arm back around Sophie's leg as she was half sliding off.
"Uh, usually everything ends up going wrong when he says that." Fitz said darkly.
"Well it won't." Keefe said confidently. "You trust me, right?"
"I guess."
"Then I'm going to head out. And don't worry. I'll get her home safely."
Fitz nodded once again. It was a reluctant nod, but nonetheless it was a nod. And with that note, Keefe turned around with the drunk Sophie on his back and headed out, people were noticeably giving him disapproving looks as he did so. Oh well- people will misunderstand almost anything. Now his priority was to get her home safely- or rather get to the car without accidentally dropping her first.

"You're heavier than I thought." Keefe coughed, walking down the excruciatingly long row of cars.
"Hmm." Foster let out a long sigh. Great, she was half awake now.
"Where are we going?" She said into his ear, still completely dazed.
"To your home."
Sophie let out a long groan. Keefe almost immediately understood. Her parents were totally going to flip out.
"Do we really have to?" She murmured.
"Yes." Keefe responded.
Finally his car was in sight! He exhaled in relief.
Hopefully her parents wouldn't get angry at him or misunderstand anything. Hopefully they'd listen to him. If they were anything like his mom and dad they would shut him off without allowing him to explain, but he had a feeling that her parents would be more understanding. Hopefully.
It wasn't going to be the best first impression, that's for sure.
"Hey." Sophie whispered, bringing herself somehow closer to him. "Thanks for today."
"Uh, yeah. Anytime." He said, feeling flustered.
As if he couldn't become anymore flustered, she grabbed his head to face her, stopping him in his tracks.
"Foster?.." He trailed off. Her eyes weren't looking into his anymore, they were lowered to his lips.
She leaned into him, her lips drawing closer and closer and-
She passed out again.
Keefe's heart raced, it felt like it might burst out of his chest at any moment. His breathing was abnormal, and he all of a sudden felt really hot. It wasn't even hot outside. So why..?
"Foster? Are you awake?" He murmured, receiving no response.
Alright then. That was completely normal, he assured himself, trying to calm his beating heart. She was probably just..
What was she trying to do?
There's no way she was about to..
But then again..
He shook his head repeatedly and laughed. "No way." Why would she kiss him?

He sucked in a breath. What would she think when she saw him again? Would she still see him the same way? Or possibly.. Would she be angry at him for letting her almost-
No. He wouldn't think the word. That was not what was about to happen in that moment.
She didn't like him like that, so why would she?
More importantly, would they still be able to talk to each other again after this?
His mind flurried with concerns as he slid Sophie gently into the passenger seat. He gazed at her face. She was clueless now, but she'd probably try to avoid him at work.
He fastened the seatbelt over her, and as he backed away he realized her eyes were open again. She smiled at him for a moment before her eyes shut again. A shiver went down his spine.
He closed the car door and inhaled deeply.
"I don't like her like her." He said to himself assuringly as his hand gripped the car door handle tightly. "And even if I do she clearly doesn't feel the same way. Not that I like her."
He hopped into the drivers seat and continued to talk to himself, almost forgetting Sophie was in the seat right next to him. Probably passed out again, but still within earshot.
"And even if I did like her, my parents would never let me see the end of it." He mumbled. "A co owner of one of America's largest offices dating an employee? I couldn't never be caught in such a scandal. It would fray our image and they would hate me and.." He trailed off, knitting his thoughts together into a reasonable conclusion;
"But that wouldn't ever happen, because she'd never date me and I don't like her."
The words felt forceful like his smirk. "Right. No reason to worry."
He knew that he was a liar.
