*Ember's Pov*
I can't believed I had hurt these people, but as I looked into the large green eyes of my rescuer, I knew he was not lying to me. The man had saved me was solidly built, with a nice overall tan. The mere sight of him had my heart beating stronger and faster. When he had touched me he had pulled me out the dark place I had been in. "Do you want to go back to my house to freshen up." The man who said his name was Nate questioned pulling me out of the past. "Sure" I replied excited to go anywhere with him. I clumsily tried to get to my feet, only falling back on my butt causing the air to rush out of my lungs. "Are you okay?" He asked with concern and worry in his eyes. "Yes, I just can't walk." I reply ashamed as a blush spreads across my face. Suddenly I am picked up by a muscular set of arms. , I gasp slightly in surprise. I snuggle gently into his arms inhaling his masculine scent. Falling asleep to the sound of his heart and the hushing music of the forest.
