Short Chapter again. Sorry, these are kind of just fillers to make the story more drawn out.
Charlize's POV
Lexie is in the living room with Jackson and August. She has been acting strange lately, but I don't know why. Whatever the reason, I hope she tells me soon.
"Dinner is ready," I call out, "Lexie, would you like some wine?"
"No, thanks. I think I will stick with water, Charlize." She tells me. Odd.
"Do you think we can have another movie night soon, Lexie?" Jackson asked.
"Absolutely!" She beams. I noticed she was picking at her food.
"Hey. Are you feeling okay, Lex? You've hardly eaten anything." I state.
"I'm just not that hungry." She tells me. I didn't push. If something were wrong, then she would come to me when she was ready.
After dinner, Lexie helped me clean up.
"Do you maybe want to stay for a little bit?" I asked her.
"No. I have an early morning, so I am just going to stay in the trailer tonight."
"Are you sure? You know you can stay here."
"I know. I just really should stay in the trailer. Thanks for the offer. I should get going."
"Oh. Okay. Bye." I said, hugging her. She hugs me back and then leaves.
All night long, I tossed and turned. The thought that I might be losing her kept me awake.
What did I do? Is it my fault? Did I come on too strongly? Did I do or say something to upset her? Does she hate me? I love her, and I don't want to lose her! I can't lose her!
