First Sight

Gone

Lexie's POV

I went to the room and began packing up my things. Elizabeth woke but did not fuss. I took her out of the cot and placed her in her car seat.

"Hey baby girl. We're going somewhere else. It's just going to be us now. You and me against the world my sweet girl. We're going to be okay."

As I was packing, Charlize walked in and stood in the door way.

"Where will you go?" She asked coldly.

"I don't know. We'll stay in the trailer tonight and find a place tomorrow." I said.

"I'll figure out something to tell the girls."

"Charlize, at least let me tell them goodbye. I know you won't make me out to be the villain. I just don't want them to think that I left without a second thought. I love those girls and I want them to know that."

"Yeah, okay." She helped me load the car. We went back in. I got the remainder of my things and Lizzie. She walked in with the girls.

"What's going on?" Jackson asked.

"Girls, sit down, please." Charlize said. "We should talk to them together."

I nodded and grabbed the chair I would use when nursing Lizzie. I placed it in front of the girls and Charlize, who were all sitting at the edge of the bed.

"I am leaving. I'm not going to live here anymore." I tell them.

"Why? What happened?" August asked.

"Well, you how Lexie and I were together romantically. You both know that sometimes that doesn't last. We broke up earlier." Charlize asked.

"Why?"

"Something happened that you don't need to worry about. It has caused us to drift apart."

"We want you to know that it has nothing to do with you or Lizzie or anything like that. It is specifically between me and Lexie."

"And I love you girls very much! You will still see me around set and such. Your mom and I just can't live together anymore."

"We're going to miss you."

"I'll miss you, too. I love you!" I say.

"We love you too. Bye Lexie."

"Bye girls."

I got my stuff and left after hugging them. I drove to the trailer and got settled in for the night.

"Okay baby. We are going to sleep in here for the night. Tomorrow we are going make sure your father can't come near us. Then we'll find a place to stay." I said putting her in her portable cot and laid down. The next morning, I was getting ready when I got a call from Kerry.

"Hey Lexie. I was wondering if you and Charlize would like to grab lunch." She said. I immediately started to cry.

"We broke up yesterday."

"Why?"

"Shaun showed up and kissed me. She saw it but left before I managed to push him away." I tell her the what happened with Shaun.

"Did you tell her?"

"Yes, but she didn't believe me. We fought."

"Are you still over there?"

"No. I'm in the trailer. Elizabeth and I slept here last night. I plan to find us a place today."

"I have a spare bedroom. You can stay with us."

"You don't have to do that."

"I insist."

"Okay. Thank you."

I went about my day before going to Kerry's to stay.
