Lexie's POV

More time had gone by, and I found out that I was going to have a daughter. She was due in two weeks, and I was terrified. I realized that I couldn't do this alone. Even though she was not due for another two weeks, I knew she could come anytime.

I picked up my phone and called Charlize. After a few rings, she answers.

"Lex? Are you alright?" She asks.

"Physically, yes. Mentally and emotionally, I'm not really sure." I said, my voice shaky.

"What's wrong?"

"I can't do this alone. I am scared to be alone. Can I please stay with you till the baby comes?"

"Of course. Do you want me to come to get you?"

"No, I'll drive over there."

"I'll see you soon. Okay?"

"Yeah. Thank you." I hang up and gather a few things. I got in my car and drove to her place. When I got there, she was waiting outside.

"Do you need help getting your stuff out of the car?"

"Not tonight. I have clothes and stuff for tonight and tomorrow."

"Okay. I figured you could stay in my room with me. That way, if you go into labor in the middle of the night one night, you won't have to walk across the house or worry about waking the girls. Unless you feel more comfortable in the guest room."

"No. I would rather be with you."

"Okay." Charlize nodded and took my bag.

I went to the couch and started thinking. I realized I didn't know how to raise my baby alone in the trailer.

"What am I going to do?" I said to myself.

"About what?" Charlize asked as she walked in.

"I don't have an apartment. I live in the trailer. I don't know how I can raise her in the trailer."

"Then stay here. You can move in."

"You don't have to..."

"Dammit, Lexie, I do. I love you. I'm in love with you. I have been since the moment I laid eyes on you. I can't let you go through this alone. I want to be with you every step of the way." Charlize practically yelled. I looked down in fear.

"I love you, too. The feelings grew stronger every second since I met you. I want you in my life, Charlize."

"I want to be with you. I honestly don't know how I hid it for so long. Kerry is the only one who knew."

"Yeah. She helped me figure out a way to come out. She knew I loved you, too. So she tried to get us together."

"Lexie, do you want to be my girlfriend?"

"Yes, more than anything," I say before kissing her.

We went up to the bed, and I laid down. Charlize lay next to me and wrapped her arms around me. I shifted uncomfortably.

"You okay?" She whispered.

"Yeah, she's moving around. She doesn't let me sleep sometimes."

"I'm sorry." She kissed my temple.

"It's alright. This is actually the most comfortable I have felt in months."

A week and a half later, I couldn't sleep. Every hour or so, I felt a tightening. It started in my stomach and moved to my back. I didn't wake Charlize because I didn't want to worry her.
