Lexie's POV

The following night, I told my boyfriend about the baby. He broke up with me and told me to leave. I left his place and drove. I didn't realize where I was driving or why. All I knew was that my emotions and habit had taken control. Finally, I found myself at Charlize's front door. Before I could process where I was or what I was doing, I had already knocked on her front door. After a minute, she answered.

"Lexie? What are you doing here?" She asked me.

"He dumped me," I said softly.

"What? Why?" She asked in disbelief. I started sobbing.

"Because I'm pregnant!"

Charlize was taken aback by the news.

"Come in." She says, opening the door wider as I walk in.

"I'm sorry. I know it's late. I don't want to be alone. I got in my car, and the next thing I know is I'm here. I feel safe with you, and you're the only one I could really think of." I said. She shut the door and looks at me.

"It's okay. You can stay as long as you need to. You know that. If you want, you can stay in my room with me." Charlize told me. I nodded, and the next thing I know, she is pulling me in for a hug.

"Thank you."

"Give me your keys, and I will get some clothes from your car. You can go freshen up in my bathroom." She said.

I handed her my keys and went to her bathroom. Suddenly, I felt my stomach flip and I found myself emptying its contents in the toilet. A few minutes later, I felt Charlize tie my hair up and rub my back.

"I'm sorry." I managed to whisper before another wave of nausea washed over me. Tears were streaming down my face. She continued to rub my back gently.

"It's okay. You don't have to apologize. Why don't you stay here through the duration of your first trimester. I don't want you to have to go through this alone. If you need to stay longer, you can."

Once I had finished emptying my stomach, I leaned back against her. She took a cold wet cloth and dabbed it on my face to cool me down.

"Thank you, Charlize."

"Of course."

Time passed and Charlize helped me through the first trimester. I found myself falling more in love with her every day.

"Kerry, I need your help." I say to Kerry one day.

"What's up?" She asks.

"I'm in love with Charlize but I can't find a way to tell her. She doesn't even know I like women and I find myself falling for her more with every passing second. I don't want to lose what I have."

"It is karaoke night. Convince her to join. Then sing songs that you feel apply to situation."

"Okay. Thanks."
