"HELLO?" I almost yelled into the phone. "Hello? Brittan?"  I heard Jadon's voice on the phone.  It really was him.  "Am I disturbing you?" he asked, he must have heard the music and Louise's voice. She was talking to herself in the mirror but still listened intently. "No, no you never would," I slurred.  "Are you drunk?" Jadon asked me worried. "I'd better call back tomorrow," he said, wanting to end the call.

"NO!  I yelled at the phone. "Hm?"  he said.  "Jadon, why didn't you ever text me?  And what are you doing in Manchester?  Was I just one of many? I'm right, am I?  I should have known.  Stupid stupid Brittan," I said in a disappointed voice & totally drunk. Before I could continue, he cut me off. "Brittan... no you're not! I really enjoyed the evening and that's a different story with Manchester. But  you're drunk so we'll sort this out another time okay?"  he then said affectionately.  "Okay," I replied, pulling the corners of my mouth down as if he could see me.

"Have a nice evening Brittan, enjoy it," he then said softly. In the background you could suddenly hear a lot of voices and loud music. Was he in a club? And called me anyway? At the moment I couldn't think about it, I was too drunk for that. "Okay, thanks. Bye Jadon", when he said "bye" as well, I hung up. At least that's what I thought...

"Omg he really called you!" Louise yelled happily. But then she suddenly got angry: "after a week?!", it was like she suddenly had an epiphany. "That's okay," I replied. "Of course I would have liked a message and I have no idea why he's in Manchester or why he didn't tell me-" I couldn't finish my sentence myself because I started a new sentence myself : "Oh my god, what am I even talking about? He's famous and I'm nothing, besides we've only dated once and we're not a couple. What do I think he owes me for?"

"Oh sweetie... you're just in love. But it will get better. Hey! We're in London, just the two of us," Louise encouraged me, winking at me. "You're right, but it's not fair," I said sadly.

The next morning we both woke up at 11:30 am, both hung over.  When I grabbed my cell phone from across the bed to check my messages, I found that it was dead.  "Shit," I mumbled. While Louise slowly woke up, I charged my phone, made us coffee and sat on the balcony to clear my head. The warm rays of April sunshine did me good.

Louise also came slurping and joined me on the balcony.  As soon as she sat next to me, I started to talk: "I screwed it up, didn't I?  This with Jadon.  "Oh no, he'll understand. He must have been drunk in his life too, at least once," she tried to calm me down.  "Wait and I swear he'll call you again!" she said. "I hope you're right...at least so I can apologize," I replied, a little desperate.

When we were back in the room, I took my cell phone and went through everything.  I got to the calls.. "why is he calling me at 1am," I said grumpily, knowing exactly well that it was my fault. I heard Louise laugh a little, she knew just as well that it was my fault and kind of hers too.

I went to the most recently searched profiles on Instagram and when it said sanchooo10, my finger almost automatically pressed the profile.  I looked at the last post again and decided to hit manchesterunited. Jadon was actually on their last post!
