"This can't be," I said, my voice trembling a little. "Look," said Lucia, showing me the test. I was speechless. "Want to make another one?" she asked, pulling out another one. "Girl, who else did you have planned to test?" I laughed and a tear rolled down my face from sheer overwhelm. She returned the laugh and hugged me tightly. „Yes please," I said into the hug.

I did the same process. Pee on the test, put it on the sink, drop myself on the bed and ask Lucia to look at the test after 3 minutes. She came out of the bathroom with an unidentifiable expression on her face. I stared at her questioningly and demandingly. Then she started to grin widely. "Positive".

I started crying. "Not good?" she asked me uncertainly. "I'm scared. The last time... you know how that ended. And how am I supposed to tell Jadon??" I kept crying. „There won't be a D this time," we decided not to pronounce his name anymore, "he's in jail! For 5 years. And believe me, Jadon will be as happy as a little kid," she laughed in response. "I know..." I laughed at the thought in my head.

"Girlssss?" Jadon called us. I packed everything and ran around the room like a wild chicken. Lucia held me tight. "Take it easy. Put it back in the bag and I'll put it in my jacket," she said in a soothing voice. "We're coming!" she then called downstairs. "Thank you Lucia! What would I do without you," I said a little calmer and hugged her tightly. Just before we went downstairs and Lucia opened the door, she started jumping around and squeaking at a volume only we could hear, "OMG YOU'RE HAVING A BABY!!!!" and shook me. "Seems like," I smiled.

The food was fabulous and my thoughts mostly revolved around how to surprise Jadon with the news. The evening passed very quietly, except that Lucia kept looking at me and grinning. Which, by the way, the boys noticed but luckily just dismissed with a laugh. The two left around midnight and Jadon and I cleaned the rest.

6 days later

6 days have passed. 6 days and I still don't know how to tell Jadon. Since Jadon was in training, I decided to call Lou, who of course already knew about it, and ask her for advice. "First go to the gynecologist to be absolutely sure and then take an ultrasound picture with you. I honestly can't give you an idea but I'd advice you to do something personal. Not like every influencer a baby box with 'I'm pregnant' on it," she laughed but meant it very seriously. „Don't you worry, I won't," I laughed, suddenly having the perfect idea.

When I explained it to Lou, she was ecstatic. We made an appointment with the gynecologist together and then said goodbye to each other. I really miss her here but she seemed very happy with Leo on the trip around the world. So I called Lucia to ask her if she would like to accompany me tomorrow and could. In fact, I got an appointment tomorrow, since I'm very flexible without a real job. "Of courseee!" Lucia happily squeaked again, which made me laugh. Besides that, I ordered what I'll need to surprise Jadon.

The next day

Since the appointment is in the afternoon, I was a bit nervous that I would miss the start of the party in the evening.  Jadon and I finally managed to find a date for a housewarming party that just about anyone could.  Among them were mainly Manchester United players and players from the England squad.

"Babe, I'm leaving now. See you soon," I said goodbye to Jadon and realized that I hadn't made up an excuse. He looked at me confused. Understandably so. "Sorry, I forgot to tell you, I'm going shopping with Lucia."  I said and didn't give him time to answer.  I was getting nervous.
