Song of this chapter: keep me warm - Conner Fox
——————————————————————————

The next few days felt like months.  I couldn't wait to see Jadon again and to go to Manchester.  To see how he lives.  Maybe I'll get to know his friends too?

"Dad, do I have everything?" I asked, throwing my small suitcase in front of him. "I think so, and otherwise Jadon will have it or you can buy it," he replied.  "Fair point, thanks Dad," I said, kissing his cheek. "Is it weird that I'm nervous?"  I then said.  "No, not at all!  But don't worry, it'll be fine, I know that.  Does he pick you up?"

"No. Yes. I mean kinda. Well indirectly.  He's waiting for me in the airport car park so that nobody can see us," I said and packed my last little things. "I don't know how you manage it. Make everything secret," he then said.  "Neither do I," I laughed. "But we'll see where it goes. If in doubt, we'll just make it public. But there's something exciting about it, isn't it?"  I then said enthusiastically.

My father laughed and said: "Of course that's true. But why doesn't he wanna make it public?" He then asked thoughtfully. "Well, firstly he wants to protect me. I don't know what it's like to be in the spotlight and secondly he's always been a private person. He doesn't like to start or have rumours or if there are too many headlines about him, even if that's not possible," I laughed again.  He replied: "Brittan.  He's a great guy.  Mom would have loved him," and kissed the top of my head. "I know," I whispered to myself, a small smile breaking my lips.

Few hours later

As soon as I walked out of the elevator, I got a message from Jadon telling me to come to parking lot number 284.  So I did.  And was speechless.  Not just about how good looking the man behind the wheel was, smiling big at me.  But also about the car he was in, he really didn't lie about his car in London back then.  I smiled at him too and got in the car.

"Hey," I said, somehow quietly. "Hey," he answered motivated and kissed me happily on the mouth.  "You didn't lie about the car," I said, still intrigued. "I love this car! The color is just awesome," I continued.  His smile widened: "I thought so.  Wait till you see the other one".

"The other one? You have another one??" I said, stunned. He laughed: "Yes, this one is sometimes a bit small. But let's go. First to me?"  he then asked.  I nodded eagerly and buckled up.

We arrived and my amazement only increased.  I was used to a certain standard since my father is an architect but this is... another league.

We drove into a large driveway where there was a house, relatively large, modern but still had an "old" look. Lots of trees were around the property and perfect lawns.
