My dad and uncle stood to leave. I stood too, but as I was leaving Mrs Bakugo stopped me. "You're the other student that was taken. Right?"
"Yes, ma'am." I nodded and Nevada nudged my hand again. I rubbed my dog's head and assured her I was alright. "I was more worried about your son than myself though."
"Why is that? He's a little brat."
"Yeah, he's rough around the edges. That's exactly why I was worried though. Since the league were scouting us, they weren't harming us, they even fed me. But I feared they might lose patience with Bakugo and end up hurting him." The front door opened but I focused on the woman in front of me. "It won't mean much coming from me, but you and your husband have raised a strong and amazing young man. I'm glad fate let me meet him and become his friend. I'm even glad to have developed feelings for him. Irritating as he may be."
The woman laughed and squeezed me. Her husband smiled. "You're a keeper for sure."
My cheeks burned. "I wish he thought the same."
"You're just adorable! You have to stay for some food!"
"I'd love that, Mrs Bakugo, but I have to visit my mother and return to my other dogs. Plus I'm just wearing lounge clothes." The woman smiled again
"Please call me, Mitsuki. I need to talk to your father again. I'll walk you out."
"Thank you." I waved to Bakugo's father. "It was nice meeting you, sir."
"Just call me Masaru."
"Okay. Come, Nevada. We're leaving."
-Time Skip-
"Hi, Mama. I'm safe, thanks to Dad and my friends. I'm sorry if you were worried." My uncle stood next to me. "Uncle Hizashi came with me today."
"Hey, Mimi. It's been a while, hasn't it?" My uncle's nickname for my mother growing up was Mimi. It was sweet that he still used it. "We're taking good care of Kita. Well, trying to. She always has a way of getting into trouble. Even when she isn't trying."
"Uncle Hizashi!" I playfully smacked him. "But he's right, Mama. They're all doing their best. The other pros even help out sometimes. But with Dad, Uncle Hizashi, and Uncle Shota I feel like I'm in 'Three Men and a Little Lady' or 'Full House'."
"Haha! I guess it kind of is like Full House."
