Shirou grinned.

The distance between him and the Gedo Mazo was quite far. But with The Hiraishin, it was practically non-existent.

He sprinted on the cube while tracing another copy of The Yondaime's weapon. Shirou flung the kunai forwards as he jumped, increasing the power and arc of the projectile as it flew. He ignored the bottomless abyss below him, confident that he wouldn't fall eternally. There wasn't any reason to, not with him being able to flash to the second Hiraishin seal in the world. Shirou allowed himself to plummet for a couple of seconds before flashing to the other weapon.

Of course, he brought along with him the first kunai.

In the split second he flashed to the second seal, Shirou grabbed the kunai that landed on the floor while simultaneously throwing the first one and repeating the maneuver a few times.

He should reach the Gedo Mazo shortly.

Tobi cursed as he found himself locked into another illusion.

Kakashi's illusions were weak, but they were enough to distract him for a split second while Itachi prepared another. Those were the ones Tobi struggled to face. He wasn't talented in illusions by any means, and while he had the Sharingan- he was rather average at them. The only thing he had at his disposal was the training he had with Madara- which he used extensively to keep up with Itachi.

Around him, Zetsu clones were acting as distractions. They couldn't put up a fight against the six enemies and resorted to delaying them while one clone grabbed Tobi and carried him away.

Zetsu used a clone to contact the rest of Tobi's forces while controlling the retreat.

"Heh, those two are really going at it." Kisame chuckled while watching Hanzo fight Pein.

Beside him, Kakuzu watched impassively. Hanzo had ordered them to assist him in taking down the SS-ranked rebellion leader. Too bad that Tobi had explicitly told them to abandon the man once Pein reached him.

And abandon him they did.

The very moment Hanzo ordered them, the two S-ranked mercenaries left without a reply. As of the moment, they were just sitting on the sidelines as the battle in front of them reached a level.

A large plume of smoke appeared as Hanzo torched down another building with his personal summon. Then, the pair of them disappeared as they retreated from another ambush. Ame's leader had switched to hit-and-run tactics once he found out that beating Pein's bodies in one-on-one combat wasn't an option. The multiple versions of Pein just kept coming in waves and the man was slowly running out of steam.

Soon, he would be killed.

"I've lost count of how many times Hanzo has killed Pein." Kisame tried to remember how many bodies he had seen cut or burned by the man. It was hard to keep track of all the chaos and numerous lookalikes.

"That's the fifth one." Kakuzu answered. Just like Kisame, he was also interested in watching the famed Rinnegan user fight. It was insane how coordinated Pein was with the other Peins. Kakuzu was already relieved Tobi had hired them, or else he would've followed Hanzo into combat against such a monster.

It was also a testament to how powerful Hanzo was despite his age. The agile senior was more experienced and strategic than Pein, and was using it to such an extreme degree that he was picking off Pein despite the numerical advantage and inhumane teamwork they possessed.
