(POV: Fay'tari)

"Get back here, assholes!" I screamed at the top of my lungs, stepping forward aggressively towards the ocean's edge.

This of course made Lo'ak finally open his eyes, beholding the same thing I just had.

I didn't care for his reaction, too concentrated on cursing the others out.

"I'm not joking, you better come back here right now!" I yelled again, seeing Aonung burst out into laughter in the far distance, though I couldn't hear any of it. "I'll kill you!" I tried everything, but nothing was working.

"Dickheads!"
...
"You'll regret this!"
...
"I'm serious!"
...

Hopeless.

"Are you done?" The voice I so much dreaded to hear sounded behind me, much too calm for my liking.

I ignored him, giving him a singular second of my irritated attention before heading passed him.

If I was stuck here, I was not going to give them what they wanted.

They want to play? Oh, I can sure play.

I supposed the reason for this abandonment was to get me and Lo'ak to get along somehow, I couldn't think of much else to go off of. But even then, we already shared a hut! What more do they want?!

The wind was gusting stronger as I decided to have a look around the pathetic excuse for an island. There was a small group of trees dead in the middle of it, enough of them there to be able to provide shelter. That wasn't needed though, as I discovered that there was already a small hideout hidden in the trees. It had three walls to its name, a rather rackety looking roof and a few things inside it. Those included some bowls, cloths as well as a hammock that was larger than the ones the Metkayina had in their own homes.

I studied the place, wondering how comfy the hammock would be, before I drastically fell into a state of pain.

They really went above and beyond with making this place as anti-getting-on as possible, huh?

If there was only one place to sleep, I was taking it for myself.

(POV: Narrator)

Fay'tari figured if she yelled, Lo'ak would definitely hear her considering the scale of the island. So, "Shotgun!" she proclaimed, seating herself on top of the hammock and crossing her legs, waiting for the boy to arrive.

When he does, he instantly widens his eyes and complains. "Nuh-uh! You expect me to sleep, where? The floor?!"

"You'll figure it out, serves you right." She states, avoiding his glare.

"There's fuck all here! You can't-"

"Too bad." She stops him, hopping off of the hammock and striding out once again, finding that the wind was much fiercer.

"Hey!" He chased behind her as she walked with her arms crossed together, not having any particular destination as there weren't many of those on the island.
She ignored him as well as the pain on her ankle, sometimes limping if it was too much.

"Fay'tari, just- Hey!" He finally reaches her, yanking her arm around so that she'd be forced to face him. Before he could get any words out, she began yelling - due to the wind as well as pent up anger.

"You caused this, you know!" She pulled her own arm away, crossing her arms like she'd previously had them. Her brows her furrowed slightly, her lips curled downwards in a slight pout.
