When the afternoon had arrived, the tensions had lessened between everyone except Lo'ak and Fay'tari, though it was arguably only them who had any tension to begin with.

Neteyam and Tsireya had been making lunch for everyone, deep in conversation as they did so. As well as cooking up some grub, they were also cooking up a rather conspicuous plan of action.

They bowled up their meal, calling everyone back to the hut to collect their food.

Once everyone had eaten and began to leave, the hut feeling a bit quieter than usual that afternoon, both Neteyam and Tsireya followed different directions. Neteyam followed his brother whilst Tsireya followed Fay'tari.

"Hey, Fay! Hey!" Tsireya called after the girl, making her turn around with a concerned expression. She thought maybe there was an issue, asking Tsireya's what the problem was. Tsireya giggled at her, reassuring her that everything and everyone was fine and that she just wanted to ask her something.

Open to the conversation, Fay'tari let her go ahead.

"So- I was just about to head out to the reef to visit my favourite spot and..." She acted nervous, though it was all part of her plan. "I was just wondering if maybe you'd like to come and see it with me? It's really cool, I promise you!" Tsireya informs her, widening her eyes as to seen irrevocably excited about the thought of the two of them visiting wherever she wanted to go.

Without so much as even a second thought on the matter, Fay'tari replied. "Of course! Where is it?" She inquired, as she didn't feel like being out on the water for too long since clam-ball had made her rather tired. That, and her ankle was growing even more sore.

"Oh, not far! It's just up passed the coves!" Tsireya says, knowing that Fay'tari knew exactly where the coves where. She'd picked that location on purpose, and of course she was lying about it.

Fay'tari registered the distance, deeming it not that far whatsoever. Her first mistake.

"Sure! Let me just grab my satchel, kay?" Fay'tari said before racing off to go and fetch the item, as she'd left it somewhere after coming back from seeing the tulkun.

Meanwhile, Neteyam had practically copied Tsireya's script, succeeding all the same.

Perfectly executing their intended situations, the two had managed to convince Lo'ak and Fay'tari to join them each out on their ilus to go for a leisurely swim around the reef.

The only catch, they had to close their eyes on the way there.

Fay'tari was hesitant at first, not understanding why it was necessary to  shut them. However, she trusted Tsireya enough to know she wasn't going to put her in danger. If it was Lo'ak, she might've refused. Complying, she let Tsireya do what she needed to do.

.
(POV: Fay'tari)

It was strange, having to shut my eyes as I was on the water, as normally I'd be cautious of it.

The wind was the main issue, as I had to seek cover behind Tsireya's back, which probably made me look quite stupid. Eventually, her ilu began to slow down. I could hear muffled sounds in front of me, as if people were talking.

But... There's only two of us?

As I was trying to listen, I began to realise that there was another individual with Tsireya, being able to hear the distant sounds of whispering however it was too quiet to decipher. I grew more paranoid by the second, wondering where on Pandora Tsireya had brough me to.

Wait, how did I not realise how worrying this is?

It came as a shock when someone finally spoke out loud, hearing Tsireya's recognizable voice tell me to slowly climb off of her ilu and into the water with her help. She let me know that I'd be able to reach the floor easily, providing that comfort at least.

Feeling like a literal doll, I was then being guided forward as Tsireya held my arm, feeling the soft sand become dryer and dryer, indicating that I was coming up to a sandy beach of some sort.

At that point, I was numb to the nervousness and was more itching to open my eyes.

The wind picked up, followed by the sound of splashing in the distance.

Nobody said anything.

...

For ages.

So much so that I had to peek a little, the temptation overpowering me. I shifted two of my fingers away from each other, being able to then reveal the true horror scene in front of me.

What the f-

In front of me, wasn't anything at all. There was nothing, for miles. All that was left to see were the two scandals who were fleeing the scene. Both Tsireya and Neteyam were swimming away quickly, turning their heads back every now and again.

Not funny.

I only had to turn a little to my side to spot the next awful factor.

To my right, stood Lo'ak. He still had his eyes covered, his tail moving back and forth as if he was excited about something. He probably thought this was actually going to be some sort of surprise.

I felt my teeth begin to physically fuse together.

No way, no actual way.

The two of them had left me and that boy stranded, in the middle of nowhere on a tiny sandy island, with only a tiny forest in it's centre.

I could quite literally see the whole width of the thing just by looking straight ahead.

Absolute shits.
