She couldn't quite grasp his thought process. Normally, if she'd heard that in any other setting, she without a doubt would've struck him at least thrice for tricking her. But due to his overbearing stare, she couldn't quite reach that point.
Instead, Fay'tari started to giggle. She didn't even try to stop it from happening, letting him see her laugh with embarrassment. She swayed her head forward, trapping her eyes shut before rocking it back again, almost tearing up.
She couldn't see him, but he was more than relieved to see her laugh. He'd anticipated her violence, gladly discovering she didn't choose to take that route.
"You idiot!" She continued to giggle, attempting to make it come to a stop. He grinned, knowing she wasn't insulting him in that moment.
With no warning, a raging roar came from the sky above them, a rapid flash of light shining straight afterwards, making them both flinch and break out of their trances.
Lo'ak sat and looked towards the outside of the shelter for a brief moment, before completely discarding his cloths and standing himself up off of the floor. He let go of Fay'tari, making her look at him funny. She stayed seated, wondering what was wrong with him as he was picking up the cloths to carry.
Instead of using his words to articulate, he used his hand gestures. He reached out for her hand, followed by a slow and reluctant acceptance. He pulled her up, picking up her cloths as well and leading her silently further into the shelter. When he let go of her hand, he lay two cloths down onto the hammock, getting the other two ready thereafter.
Fay'tari couldn't tell who he was preparing it for, not being able to wrap her head around what he was truly doing.
He finished up, turning back to her and shooting her a perplexed look.
"Well...? Get on?" He told her as if it was obvious, which to be fair, it was.
Fay'tari proceeded forward, using her good leg to hoist herself up onto the raised hammock, dropping onto the far side of the blanket and scooting as far as she could towards its edge. Not a second later, Lo'ak copied her. Though she didn't react physically, Fay'tari could've sworn her chest had split into two. She'd expected no less from him, as there was only one hammock for them to share, however never did she think he'd ever disobey the rules of shotgun.
The boy didn't lay down straight away, as he was still trying to unravel a few clothes that he'd later lay over the both of them to keep warm. As he did so, Fay'tari impulsively rocked her entire body around to face the wall, bringing her arms up near her chest and moving a braid behind her ear. Lo'ak then managed to straighten out the cloths, laying the first one over Fay'tari before he did his own. She didn't flinch, but she shifted slightly, making sure the cloth was entirely covering her.
Once he'd done his, he lay himself flat on his back, using one of his arms to rest his head so that it was raised slightly. Fay'tari could hear him exhale, showing her his exhaustion after doing such a simple task.
He swayed his head in her direction, only being able to see the back of her head, her hair covering anything else. After staring for approximately three seconds, he changed his position, lowering his arm and twisting onto his side; That way, he could face the girl.
