It was a cold December morning in Paris, the snow from last night, literally covered the streets like a thick, white blanket.
Nathalie and Gabriel both woke up at the same time, stretching their muscles, before relaxing back down in the soft covers.
“Morning peacock!”, he greeted first, using her pet name, “morning, a-a-achoo, butterfly”, she greeted back, grabbing a tissue from her bedside table and blew her nose clean.
“Have you got a cold?”, her hubby quickly placed his hand over her forehead, checking her temperature, “no! I’ve just got a sniffle!”, his wifey replied, not wanting him to worry about her.
“Well! We’ve got an hour, before we have to wake Adrien and Sofia up for school, so how do you feel about having a nice hot bath!”, Gabe suggested, knowing that it would help cure her sniffles, and Nath instantly agreed to his suggestion.
They undressed themselves and got into the bath. Nathalie was sitting in front of Gabriel in the bathtub, leaning her taut against his front, feeling his arms wrap around her like a protective shield.
After a while they got out of the bathtub, quickly getting dressed into their sweaters and jeans. Nathalie sat at her vanity, doing her eyeliner, blusher and light pink lipstick, while her hubby dried her hair and styled it in a French plait.
“Thank you! Butterfly, you know that warm bath really did help my nose a little!”, she commented, “I knew it would help! Now let’s go wake our kids up”, he reminded her.
The fashion design woke Sofia up, greeting her with a ‘good morning’, before leaving her to get ready for school.
The dark-haired woman went to wake Adrien up, gently shaking him, while saying:
“Adrien! Wake up, your, a-achoo, going to be, a-achoo late for school, a-achoo, achoo”, she said in between sneezes, grabbing a tissue from her jean pocket and she blew the snot out of her nose.
The sunshine teenager woke up from the sound of his mother sneezing and the first thing he said was:
“Are you ok mum?”.
“I’m fine! Adrien, I’ve just got a sniffle”, his mother told him truthfully, before leaving him to get ready for school.
While their kids were still getting ready, Nathalie walked into the kitchen, giving her lover a kiss on the cheek, while he was busy making cheese on toast for breakfast.
Gabriel stopped what he was doing for a moment and turned his head, giving his lover a kiss on the cheek
Once their son and daughter had finished getting ready, they all sat around the kitchen table, eating cheese on toast and drinking orange juice, but their mum was the only one who was drinking water, instead of juice.
“Mum! Howcome your not drinking orange juice? I thought you liked it?”, Sofia questioned, “I do like orange juice! Sofia, but I’ve got a bunged-up nose and drinking plenty of water, helps keep the mucus in my body thin and drained!”, she ranted, sounding stuffy.
Once Nathalie had drank her water and had taken some Tylenol to help with her terrible nose. They all got into the car and Gabriel drove towards Sofia’s primary school, then Adrien’s high school.
Once the married parents had dropped their kids off, they headed back to the Manor. The assistant was going to enter her office, until her boss stood in front of the door, blocking her from entering.
“Come on! Love, I’ve got work to do!”, she said annoyed, trying to push her husband out of the way, but he wouldn’t move.
“Love! You should be resting, not working, because you sound like a dying swan!”, he said truthfully, looking out for his wife’s health, but he may have taken it one step too far.
Nathalie felt really pissed at what he said to her. She quickly turned around and headed towards the living room, making Gabriel realise that he had gone too far.
He quickly walked to the living room and he saw his wife, lying down on the sofa with a blanket draped over her shoulders.
“I’m really sorry! Peacock, I shouldn’t have said you sounded like a dying swan!”, the designer admitted his mistake and apologised.
“it’s ok! Butterfly, you were right! I really do sound like a dying swan and I could do with a bit of a rest!”, the assistant replied, forgiving her husband.
Gabriel gave Nathalie a kiss on the forehead, before leaving her to get his sketchbook and pencils, drawing her while she was asleep.
The raven-haired woman woke up at around 2pm, feeling well rested and re-energised.
They both waited in the atrium, for their kids and Marinette.
Adrien had told his parents about his girlfriend coming over for a sleepover, and they instantly agreed, smiling at each other, knowing that those two were inseparable, just like them.
Marinette, Adrien and Sofia arrived from their last day of school, looking forward to their Christmas break.
“Mum! Dad! Can we go ice skating, please!”, the little girl squealed, hoping they would say yes, “it depends on how your mother is feeling!”, Gabriel turned his head, looking at his wife.
“I’m actually feeling, a-achoo, not too bad! And I would, a-achoo, really love to go ice skating, a-achoo, but let’s all get dressed into some warm clothes, a-achoo, first!”, Nathalie answered, blowing her nose, still sounding stuffy.
“Good idea! I need to text my mum, to bring my ice skates”, Marinette informed them.
