(A/N: Welcome back! I'm so happy to see you! I hope you enjoy, please feel free to leaving periodic comments on paragraphs! I love talking back and forth about the story :))

*Sutton's POV*

Danielle, Nic, and I moved two weeks later.

We considered the thought of doing a road trip, but between so many things being closed due to COVID and us transporting 4 animals, we decided to keep things simple and just fly instead. I decided to sell my car and just buy all new furniture and save most of it, just in case. With how much I used Uber last time I was here, I knew I'd be fine. Plus, for the foreseeable future, I'll only be going to Noah's place and my place anyway. What else am I going to do?

Noah... my brain is complicated on that subject. The balancing of head versus heart is way too much for me more often than not, so I've been happy to have the distraction of packing up and detoxing my entire life right now.

If I'm being honest with myself, I love this man way more than I knew was humanly possible. However, I wonder if I'll be better at handling the dynamic of our relationship now that distance is not a factor. When and if things get normal again, how will touring work? What if I don't want to go? I trust him completely, but it does strain our relationship a lot to not be around as much. That won't be a problem for a long time, but the thought holds me back in ways. Either way, I'm excited for a fresh start.

We landed in LAX and it was comically vacant. I got my life condensed into 3 suitcases, deciding that anything more than that was unnecessary. I can expand my wardrobe later because new beginnings! Isn't that just exciting? I sold as much furniture as I could on Facebook Marketplace and parted ways with a lot of clothes that I hadn't touched in months. I brought some memories and keepsakes with me, but left some at the Ruffilo's for a later trip home.

Noah came to pick us up from the airport. He still has his Honda Pilot, so it makes sense for transporting the animals to the townhome. If we weren't carrying all of the cat carriers, I would have tackled him immediately, but I had to show restraint until I got the babies situated in the trunk. Nic helped with Jemma and Danielle had Jasmine, her favorite. As soon as I sat the carriers with Leo and Penny down, I wrapped him in a hug, him lifting me up in excitement. His eyes smiled as he placed me back on the ground.

"Awww," Nic mused from behind us. Noah went over and did the same to him, Jemma looking between them concerned. I laughed at the sight, Noah making Nic look like the tiniest man in the world.

We really tried to pack as much into his car that we could, but it ended up with us having to kick one person out, so Nic volunteered to grab an Uber to the guy's house to drop his stuff off and to come help us if we needed it. At first the cats meowing in the trunk was a little comical, but after 10 minutes, the three of us were visibly irritated.

We got to the leasing office and finished the paperwork, earning our keys in the process. One thing I am grateful for my past self doing is ordering furniture when I was here last time, but I'm kicking myself for ordering it for tomorrow. I was in dire need of sleeping on a mattress right now, but that won't happen tonight, and I'm fine with that.

Noah helped us with everything, fighting us when we tried to get the suitcases ourselves. He let us handle the animals, but wanted to help with the heavy lifting. What a man. Both of our bedrooms were upstairs, and he took our 6 suitcases up there like it was nothing. I realized in this moment I literally don't even have hangers... we need to go to Target at some point.

"This place is so good!" Danielle mused, clearly pleased at Nic and I's choices.

"I thought so too," I said contentedly. I watched as the cats wandered around in confusion, and I realized that we have to go shopping now because I didn't think about litter boxes. I turned to Noah. "Can we go to Target? I need... a lot, but most importantly, litter boxes." His eyes went wide in realization.
