*Sutton's POV*

"Please just tell me where we're going," I pleaded with him.

"No, that would be way too easy," he poked back at me, making me roll my eyes with a smile on my face.

"You're so annoying," I said jokingly, looking down at the ring after a streetlight made it reflect into my eyes again. He really did a perfect job with it. "Dare I bring back the point that you could literally kill me at any point?" I poked at him, earning a confused look and chuckle from our Uber driver.

"Please don't," he pleaded with an annoyed tone but a massive smile on his face. We arrived at LAX and he grabbed our suitcases from the trunk and thanking the Uber driver before sliding a mask on his face and handing me one. He really thinks of everything. "You know I love surprising you."

"This seems like a little bit more than a surprise, plus haven't you given me enough heart attacks today?" I kept poking at him because I love annoying him. "Plus it is," I checked my phone, "almost midnight and we're getting on a plane?"

"Sure are," he responded simply, starting to walk with purpose, me matching his pace. I kept looking around wildly to try and find literally any hints. We dropped off our luggage and got cleared with TSA, and I'm still very confused. We eventually get to a gate and he stops, gesturing for me to sit. I see that we're going to Munich and knit my eyebrows together at him. "It's not our final destination, just our connecting flight."

"What the hell are you up to?" I asked with an amused grin that reached my eyes.

"Don't worry about it," he reassured me. "At least we'll probably sleep the whole time."

He was right. The plane took off and I was out until we landed in Munich. He gently shook me awake, grabbing our carry ons at the same time. Now I was absolutely wired from my slumber, which I learned was an 11 hour one. We headed into the airport and we learned that we had a 2 hour layover, and the sun was out. I looked around and discovered it was almost 9 am here, so we decided to go find a cafe for some coffee. Noah went and exchanged a little bit of currency for our adventure. I felt ridiculous still being in my dress from the night prior, but how could I have possibly planned for this?

We found a place called Coffee Fellows and walked in, but I realized that neither of us know German. "What are you craving?" Noah asked me, cutting through my thoughts.

I tried my best to use context clues, but I didn't know a damn thing on that menu. "That croissant in the case looks divine, but I can't read the menu," I said honestly.

"Do you want hot or cold coffee?" he asked simply.

"Cold," I answered quickly. He went up to the cashier and took me by surprise by ordering in German. Excuse me? He paid the cashier and smiled at me as he guided me to a table. "Since when do you know German?" I asked with a chuckle.

"I've picked up bits and pieces from touring for times like these," he said honestly. He was also still in his proposal attire, making me feel not as bad.

"How did you think of everything except for making sure we changed clothes?" I asked with a laugh.

"You know, I had that thought on the flight over," he admitted with a chuckle. "I couldn't get comfortable at all."

"Did you not sleep at all?" I asked with some concern as the cashier from earlier brought our stuff over.

"A little bit, but not like you. You were out," he poked at me, making us both laugh. We ate our pastries and honestly this was the best cold brew I have ever had in my life. I checked the time when we finished and we still had an hour and a half until our next flight to who knows where, so we decided to walk around a little bit. We found a tourist shop and caved to buy more comfortable clothes, deciding we would change when we got back to the airport. The architecture was absolutely incredible and I couldn't ask to be here with anyone else.
