Shizu and Rimuru had stopped in a clearing. Rimuru was in his God Beast form, the aspect of a lion with two horns on his head, wings on his back, and a serpent-shaped tail with a serpent's head at the tip. The shape was equally beautiful and frightening, and was sure to be the source of dreams and nightmares for many who saw it.

Their trip had already lasted four days, three more days and she would be finished. Shizu's days were filled with traveling astride Rimuru, traveling at speeds she had never even imagined traveling, and then taking short breaks to eat, practice with her new skills and try to learn to fly.

Rimuru had hardly spoken a single word since he started the journey with her, just what was necessary, but she didn't care. Somehow having Rimuru around was relaxing for her.

At the moment she was practicing trying to fly using her wings, which she had already learned to materialize with her thoughts just the day before, but all she could manage, at the moment, was to stay in the air for mere seconds before losing control. balance and fall.

After all, she had never flown by herself before and the feeling was totally different from what she imagined.

"Do you happen to have any tips, Rimuru?"

Shizu asked, trying to get an answer out of Rimuru. He just lifted her head for a moment, looking into her eyes, before lowering his head and "sleeping" again. Shizu immediately understood that the lack of an answer was either due to not having a hint or Rimuru's bad mood, but one way or another she would have to find out for herself.

In the end, she just kept trying, flapping her wings as she tried to stay just three feet off the ground, wanting to maintain as much control as possible.

Of course, she and Rimuru weren't aware...but they were being watched by someone.

A fire dragon was resting calmly on the rocks of its mountain.

Of course, compared to older members of his species, he was an immature youth, and he had absolutely no power from their point of view. Still, when viewed from the point of view of other forest creatures, there were few who could rival him in power, even when he considered himself among the strongest races.

That's the kind of power he, one of the dragons, the most powerful race in the world, possessed.

Because of that kind of power he never saw the need to actively hunt or hone his combat skills. He was a dragon, a supreme race, so why would he try to get stronger? Dealing with the bugs around him was too easy for him to bother doing something like this.

Still, he suddenly felt that something was wrong in his territory.

Perhaps it was because he was as strong as he was, but he, one of the dragons, wasn't good at sensing when opponents entered his territory. Usually all of them were so weak he just couldn't feel them, proof of how inferior they were when compared to him. Because of that, his magical senses were a bit rusty.

Still, for some reason, he woke up from his peaceful slumber, his instincts screaming at him that an opponent had entered his territory, like when one of his brothers comes to fight him.

Looking around carefully, he wasn't able to see anything that looked like a real threat. A few bats sleeping in the nearby trees, small lizards crawling on the ground, and other insignificant animals, but nothing he minded. None of these creatures could be significant to him, not even food, much less a threat.

Getting up from where he was lying, he tried to widen his field of vision up into the trees, trying to find his enemy, but he still couldn't see them. They seemed to be a little further away than he expected, but still, they had entered his territory. And he, like a proud fire dragon, would not allow annoying bugs to enter his territory as if it were nothing.
