Indi walked inside the kitchen and saw her mom icing a cake. Indi sat down and Ginny sat down beside her.

"Your hair! It's straight" Georgia said.

"I wanted a change. New older me" Ginny said.

"but I love your natural hair"

"Aww! Then you wear it" Ginny said.

Indi rolled her eyes at her sister. Georgia then lit the candles on the cake and started to sing Happy birthday to the two sisters.

"it's 7:00 a.m. I don't want cake" Ginny said.

Georgia sat the cake between the two sisters.

"must you sing the whole song?" Ginny asked.

"yeah," Georgia said.

The two sisters blew out the candles and Ginny stared at their mom while Indi took the candles out and licked the bottoms of them where the icing was.

Georgia grabbed two envelopes and handed them to the sisters. "this came from Zion's parents"

Indi smiled and opened it.

Ginny looked at it. "you opened it"

"They sent 500"

"happy birthday Ginny and Indi," Austin said giving them cards he made them.

"Thanks, buddy!" Indi said taking it and giving him a side hug.

"Aww! Thanks, Austin!"

"Cake!"

"Cake! Go brush your teeth"

Austin got up and went to go brush his teeth.

"Sixteen and fifteen. An adult. A little woman. My two little women" Georgia said.

"Louisa May Alcott's all atingle"

"you two are really growing up," Georgia said.

"does that mean you will start treating me like a grown-up? Trust me with important factors of your life like, I don't know, off the cuff, the fact you have a sister and your real name is Mary" Ginny said looking at her mom.

Georgia then grabbed the cake and pushed it into Ginny's face. "happy sweet 16 jerk"

The doorbell rung and Georgia opened it. "girls it's for you"

Indi was in her room finding a place to put the piano that Zion got her. It was her favorite instrument to play.

"I can't believe Zion got me a piano," Indi said looking at her mom in the doorway.

Indi then started to play a song she remembered she learned. "still know how to play"

"you think this good, wait till you see what I got planned tomorrow," Georgia said.

"and what does that mean?" Indi asked looking at her mom.

"It means tomorrow I planned a secret surprise," Georgia said.

"nice thanks mom," Indi said and got up and hugged her mom.

Georgia smiled and hugged her back. "you're welcome Bear"
