Jack and Severin | Dual Monster Slayers

"Dammit!" Severin yells as he rides through the forest on horseback. "I have to catch that thing. It wouldn't be good if the prince is killed." He says as he watches the monster run. It stands over the trees from its height. It is of humanoid shape, though it appears animalistic. It is holding Jack in its firm grip, not letting go.

"Grr!" Jack grunts, "Let me go, you big overgrown monster!" He stabs its hand to try and loosen its grip, however this attempt doesn't work.

"Hold on Jack!" Severin yells, "I'm coming!"

"Don't worry! I-I got this!" Jack responds, continuing to stab it.

"Hold on..." Severin says under his breath. "Yah!" He speeds his horse up, pushing as hard as he can go. Speeding along, he catches up and is right beside the monster. The stomps from the monster cause the ground to shake. "It's time to try this move I guess..." Severin says. He very steadily stands up on his horse and draws his ax, turning it into a hammer. Using his Angel powers, he jumps high into the air towards the monster. Rearing his hammer back, he swings and hits the monster in the side of the head. The monster doesn't fall, but is put off balance. The hit causes it to loosen its grip and drop Jack. Severin lands on the ground and catches Jack in his arms. "Hey." Severin says.

"Ehehe..." Jack laughs uncomfortably as Severin puts him down. The two look up at the towering monster as it regains itself.

"Roar!" The monster lets out the most blood curdling roar. It causes their spines to shiver.

"Welp, we got a monster to slay." Severin says as readies his weapon. "You ready?" He asks Jack, who is off to his right.

"Y-Yeah. I am." Jack thrones his sword into the air, where it transforms into a bow. He then catches it and readies himself.

"Roar!" The monster roars as it runs over and pulls back its fist. It then releases a devastating sweep across the ground. Jack and Severin both dodge. Jack uses his bow, which creates arrows of energy. He fires a volley of arrows while in midair, which explode on contact. This knocks the monster back a bit, then Severin, who was even further in the air comes down with his hammer, hitting the beast atop the head extremely hard. Both Jack and Severin both land on the ground.

"Good one!" Severin congratulates Jack on his attack. The monster falls onto its backside. The fall rumbles the ground. Jack transforms his weapon back into a sword. He then summons a shield, which forms out of small bits of his armor. "You have a shield too?" Severin asks as he walks over to Jack.

"Of course I do." Jack says, "Don't expect me to reveal all of my tricks immediately." The monster then begins to stand up. Dirt and rubble falling off of it. "Guess it's time for more!" Jack readies his blade and shield.

"Yep." Severin says, readying his weapon into the form of an ax.

"Roar!" The monster roars louder than before, seemingly enraged. It charges and stomps the ground. Both Severin and Jack scatter as it does, and Severin comes up with a plan.

"Hey, Jack!" Severin yells to him in the distance.

"Yeah?!" Jack asks loudly.

"I have an Idea!" Severin yells. Suddenly a large swing comes from the monster. Severin has no time to dodge and is hit. He gets knocked back onto the ground. Then the monster goes to stomp on him. Unable to dodge in time, he begins to brace for the inevitable. As the monster stomps, it is halted by Jack as he runs over to block it.

"Move!" Jack yells to Severin, holding back the monster's foot. Severin moves swiftly. Jack is unable to move or he'd be crushed, a great strain being placed on his body.

"Hold on!" Severin yells. He looks up at the monster. "Hey! Fatass!" Severin yells at the monster. He picks up a rock and throws it, hitting the monster. It doesn't hurt, but it gets its attention. The monster lets up its stomp and smashes the ground where Severin is standing, but Severin dodges to the right. Jack falls to his knees after the weight of the monster is taken off of him. "You okay?!" Severin yells out to Jack as he stands.
