"Ruin!" A woman says as she runs over to him. He looks at her.

"Yeah?" Ruin asks, "Found my target?"

"Yes, I did! He is in the market right now!" She says.

"Then I'll go and exterminate him." Ruin says as he begins to walk away.

"Anything else you need me for sir?" She asks.

"No, you've helped me track him down, now it's time for my job. It's a shame that you'll forget me once I'm done." Ruin says. He then jumps from the building they're on to another. It's daylight in what appears to be a desert town. "I can't wait until this one is done. Universe 94 is a pain." He says. He makes it to a building overlooking the market. Looking down at the market, he analyzes, scanning for his target. "Hmmm... He was supposed to be wearing a cloak." Then he sees him. "Ah, there he is." Jumping down, he lands onto the ground. He walks through the crowd, completely nondescript. He approaches the target. "Hello." He says from behind. The target jolts and turns to look at him.

"W-who are you?" The target asks, obviously anxious.

"I'm your reckoning." Ruin says, "Tell me..." He walks up to him and puts his hand on his shoulder. "What universe are you really from?"

"What?! Universe?!" He shoves Ruin. "I-I'm from here! I didn't do anything!"

"Really now? Because the information I have says otherwise." Ruin says, "Plus, you're a very poor liar." He says, "So be honest with me. What universe are you really from? You're not from here. So where?"

"I-I... Gah! Fine! If you wanna exterminate me..." The target grabs his cloak and throws it off, revealing an arsenal. He pulls out two guns. "Take this!" He fires his guns, which Ruin deflects.

"Poor choice." He says as chains fall from his sleeves, blades attached to the end. He swings one, wrapping it around his leg, and Ruin throws him through a market stall. People that are in the market begin to panic and flee. The target begins to stand as Ruin steadily walks towards him. "These are the consequences of your actions."

"I've come this far, so I'm not giving up yet!" He yells, pulling out a shotgun he has. He fires and hits Ruin this time, though he doesn't budge.

"Do you even understand what universe hopping can do to the multiverse? It can cause entire universes to collapse into despair and anarchy." Ruin says. He then swings again, stabbing the target. Pulling it out, he falls. Ruin walks over to him as he bleeds. He lies upon the ground, breathing slowly. "So, before you perish, let me ask you one more time. What universe are you from?" He asks as he kneels next to him.

"I'm... I'm from universe 109..." He says.

"See? That wasn't so hard now, was it?" Ruin stands, "Now unfortunately our time has come to an end." He uses a blade and stabs him in the heart.

"Gah!" The target exclaims, and he dies, closing his eyes slowly.

"Now that it's done, I can leave." He pulls out a gadget. Pushing a button on it. "Things should be reset. Everyone will forget him, and me. They'll forget what happened here." With that, Ruin vanishes, leaving the universe.

A universe that was once thriving, but is now ravaged by disaster and despair. Ruins home universe. It was once full of stars that were burning bright, planets that were aplenty with life, and cities that were alive with bustle. It is now dead, the stars are cold, the planets are desolate, and the cities have grown quiet. How could an entire universe die at once? Let alone so suddenly? Multiversal distortion. Certain things can cause the multiverse to grow unstable, the most common being universe hoppers. The distortions cause ripples throughout the multiverse, however some universes are more affected than others. This is Ruin's story.
