"Hi there, Green!"

Goddamn!

"Cooking class, really?" I sigh.

In addition to music, math, tennis and debate club, Jungwon is now also in my cooking class? The only club I haven't seen him at was my beloved fan theory's club.

He comes to put his bag besides me.

"No, no, no! Cooking class is always group work, I don't want you in mine!" I exclaim.

"How rude," he breathes, looking genuinely hurt.
But as I am about to apologize, he smiles and adds,
"I know I'm terrible at tennis, but I'm not such a bad cook."
I immediately feel released. I can't stand him, it's a thing. Being so openly mean, however, is not me.
"Why are you in all my clubs anyway?" he asks. "Are you pursuing me or something?"

I feel the red of rage climb up my face, and have to gather my thoughts to not jump at his neck.

"Me? In all of your clubs? Pursuing you?"
He stares at me with a nod. He looks so genuine I start choking on my anger,
"What do you m-"

He smirks just in time before I lash out in the middle of class.

"I'm obviously teasing you, Green. I read that newspaper, like everyone else."

I feel one of my nerve busting. My hands tremble as I'm putting on my apron.

"You cannot possibly be in all the same clubs as me by complete coincidence, I refuse to believe it! You must have decided to ruin my life, it can only be that."

He's laughing. My hands refuse to tie the knot of my apron.

"Come here," he whispers, as the professor start giving instructions.
"It is not complete coincidence. We just have the same interests. It happens.
I wasn't even in the country before school began, how could I have known which clubs you would go to?"

It's true that last year, I wasn't even in half of the same clubs as this year, and no one knew which I would choose this semester.

It must really be due to chance.

I'm so deep in my reflexions that I don't realize he's helping me with my knot.

"We can't possibly have chosen all the exact same clubs," I breath, while discreetly taking out a pink binder.
"This is my weekly schedule. I want to see yours to know if I'm safe anywhere."

He raises his eyebrows, but takes out his phone anyway.

"Here's mine."

He puts it flat next to mine, and I start analyzing it.

It is the exact. Same. Schedule!

For the extracurriculars at least.

I almost choke.

"The- the fan theory's club," I stutter.

"Ah, right. I missed it this week, because I had an appointment to the doctor."
I really can't have anything nice!
I close my eyes very tight and take a deep breath.
"Oh, look!"
I look.
"I don't have this club. There, you'll be 'safe'."

It's not a club, it's just this one hour on Thursday I tutor my neighbors' daughter...

I'm cursed.
