"Reya what are you doing my sweet child?". I ask her as I watched her play in the sand. "Look it's a sand palace". She says proudly, standing up and moving out of the way for me to see. "That's amazing". I compliment her. "Mama, can you teach me how to use a bow". She asked suddenly. "Of course I can Maite, come". I say grabbing her hand. "Ma Neteyam would you like to join us, I'm going to teach Reya how to use a bow?". I asked my husband. "I wish I could Ma love but me and Hawnu are going hunting with Aonung and spider". He apologises. "It's okay, we will see you guys when you get back". I bid him a goodbye and he gives Reya a kiss on the cheek. "Come on Mama let's go". She drags me away to target practice. Where the other people go to practice as well. "Must breath in, strengthen your core". I teach her. I raise her elbow up more and place her fingers in the correct position. "There you go, now Breath in and when your ready". I tell her. She fires the arrow and it pierced through the middle. I look in shock and she jumps around happily. "Mama did you see that?". She excitedly asked. "Uh yeah, that was great maite, this is your first time?". I ask, skeptical. "Uh huh". She says proudly. "Well you are just a natural, and I am one heck of a teacher". I praise myself and her. We stay there a little longer until her arms started to ache. "I'm sore now mama". She whines. "Okay then, let's get back home". I take the bow from her hands and put it over my shoulders and then I take her hand as we walked. "I wanna be a great warrior like you one day mama". She tells me. "You can be me and more maite, you'll do great things one day". I encourage her. She gives me a bright smile and runs into her fathers arm when she sees him. Neteyam picks her up and gives her a peck on the cheek. Hawnu wakes with his father, saying hello to his sister and pinching her cheek. I smile at the sight. It was perfect, it was all perfect.

But there's no such thing as perfect.

(Reya: 12, Hawnu: 18)
"You took my daughter out where!". I yell at Reya friends. "You know that place is forbidden and it's forbidden for a reason!". I growl them. "We're sorry ma'am". They apologised, hanging their heads in shame. "Come My child we will go look for her". Ronal pulls me away from the children and I give them one last glare. They're parents also scolded them.
"Ma Nora, it'll be alright". Neteyam says coming next to me on his Ilu and rubbing my arms comfort. I hold my hand in his and give him a painful smile. "We will find her, just like how we found Hawnu". He reassured resting his head on mine. I nodded and we took off along with Ronal, Tonowari, Hawnu and Jake. Once we got to the old ship wreck from the war many years ago I quickly started my search. "Reya!". I called out in panic. Oh my daughter where are you. We continued searching high and low when Jake called out. "I've found her". We all quickly come together by Jake. I could see the fear on everyone's faces. I quickly see what's wrong. I scream in agony. Reya had been impaled in her lower rib. "No, no". I cried. "Mom". She rasped. "You're gonna be okay maite, just stay with me okay". I cried. But In everyone's head, they all feared or knew that Ronal the tsahik couldn't really do much. She didn't have the equipment or power to be able to help her child's daughter. We swim back onto a reef island and jake and Neteyam place her gently on the rock. Neteyam holds his daughters hand in his and strokes her cheek. "Ma Neteyam what are we gonna do, what are we gonna do". I cried. Panicking. I look at him for an answer or any but they didn't have a clue on what to say. I hold my daughters head in my hands, cupping her face gently. "Mom, I'm sorry". She rasped. "You have nothing to be sorry for my sweet girl". I soothe her. Tears fell rapidly as i watch her face fill with fear and panic. She struggled to breath and looked around frantically. "Dad, I'm scared". She breathed out in pain. "I know princess, it's okay we've got you, daddy's got you". Neteyam choked, tears threatened to fall as he stared at his daughter. Hawnu tried hard to keep his in. Tonowari tried to comfort his mate as much as he could as she cried. Jake stayed by neteyams side in case he needed him. My daughters hand held my cheek softly wiping a tear. "D-Don't cry mama, it's okay". She whispered softly with a smile. "It's okay". Nora rasped out. The familiar sight replayed in Ronal's head. Ronal came to my side. I watched my daughters eyes Avert to the light. Her hand fell from my cheek and her body turned cold. I inspected her face, fear filling my eyes. Neteyam looked at the sky trying to keep his tears in. "No, no,no,no". I cried. I shook my daughters body lightly, hoping she'll awake. I scream in pain and agony lifting my daughters head up closer to me. I screamed. I stroke her cheek softly. "Maite!". I call out. I cry and beg. "Reya?, Oh great mother, oh great mother please". I begged, clutching my daughters body close to me. Neteyam tried to calm his wife. "Not my baby, not my baby". I cried. I was heartbroken, deeply heartbroken. My only daughter, my youngest child was gone. "It's alright my child, it's okay, she is eywa, she is safe". Ronal cried trying to comfort me as she tucked my braids behind my ear. I cried to the sky. Why?, why did you take my daughter. "We'll get her back child". Tonowari had tears as he lifted Reya into his arms. I painfully tried reaching out for her, but I had no strength. My tears just kept falling. Neteyam cradled me close along with Hawnu. "Shhhh Ma love". Neteyam tried to quiet my cries. "I've got you mom, I've got you". Hawnu whispers the comforting words as he holds me. "Come Ma Nora, let's go". Neteyam wipes my tears away and I take deep breath following them. Once we got to the village. Tonowari walked along the shore first with my daughter in his arms, Hawnu Neteyam and I following him as I started to cry again. Ronal walked behind me with her hand on my shoulder. Jake following behind. Neytiri ran up to Jake in question. Jake just shook his head and Neytiri gasped. Tears started to flow from her eyes. "The people will prepare her my child, go take a breather". Ronal says. I nod my head and walk away with Neteyam and Hawnu back home. The three kids that had been with Reya had come up to the door with Tonowari and their parents. "Nora, Neteyam and Hawnu, we're so sorry". The parents apologised, they did the I see you motion to me. I did it in return and they're eyes held a bit of relief. "What do you say children". They whispered to them. "Tsap'alute si". They said in unison. I saw one boy bawling his eyes out at her passing. "What is your name?". I asked him. "Atan". He sobbed out. "We're you very close with my daughter Atan?". I ask him gently. He nods his head, unable to speak. "Come". I gesture him over. He walks slowly. I grab my daughters bow, quiver and arrows. "These belonged to her, if you wish you may carry them". I hold them out to him. "Really?. He asked. I nod and he takes them gently from my hands. I wipe his tears away. I did the I see you motion to him, he smiles lightly and does it back. "Thank you for your forgiveness Nora, I wish we could do more for you, if you ever need anything just come to us". Their parents spoke. "It's okay, thank you". I reply. They all walked away and Tonowari stepped in closer to me. "That was very brave of you child, very kind of you to give forgiveness". He praised. "It's not their fault". I mutter. "Yes it is". Hawnu grumbled angrily. "Hawnu". Neteyam spoke in warning. "No, how could you forgive them so easily, they killed Reya, they knew it was forbidden!". He yelled. "Hawnu". I seethe. "They did not have the intention to kill her, so it is not their fault". I speak. "This is not your fault, you had no intention to hurt our brothers and sister, your sister, this was only your fathers doing, not yours". The words recited in Tonowari and Nora's head. Hawnu stormed out and Neteyam went after him. I run my forehead stressed from everything. Tonowari held me close to him. I cried in his chest. "Dad what do I do". I whispered. I didn't realise what I had just said, I just cried more in his chest. "It's okay...my daughter". Tonowari comforted.

A mother protects, it's what gives her meaning. Nora, Neteyam and Hawnu gently flow through the water with Reya laying in a leaf. We pull her over to where she is to lay to rest. The three of us gently pulled her from the leaf and made our way down. We went about half way before letting her body slowly sink down on its own. I held my tears back as I watched her go.
People say all energy is only borrowed and that some day you have to give it back. Eywa holds all children in her heart.
Her body was slowly covered in a yellow glow and soon disappeared amongst it.

Hawnu stayed back at home as me and my husband went to the spirit tree.

"Mama, did you see that, did you see that". I walked over to my daughter who jumped around excitedly. "That was great Maite, was that your first time?". I asked her, trying not to cry as I looked at her. "Uh, huh". She said. "You must be a natural then". I whispered, tear starting to slip. "Mama don't cry, what's wrong?". She asked. "Nothing Ma Reya, just happy to see you". I tell her, tucking her braids behind her ear. "Oh mama, I'm happy to see you too". She says giving me a big hug.
"I'm sore now mama". She whines. "Okay then, let's get back home". I take the bow from her hands and put it over my shoulders and then I take her hand as we walked. "I wanna be a great warrior like you one day mama". She tells me. "You can be me and more maite, you'll do great things one day". I encourage her with a sad smile. She gives me a bright smile and runs into her fathers arm when she sees him. Neteyam picks her up and gives her a peck on the cheek. I look at him with tears in my eyes, he understood and held his hand out to me. I take it and we all go inside. "I see you Maite". I lastly say before I was driven out of the vision.

Though we had lost her, we still had us three, strong together. Maitan, Ma mate and myself. My daughter was in eywas hands and I know she is safe. I have a loving mate. Ma Neteyam. And I got the family that I had always wanted. The family that I had wished I had growing up. I became what I wanted to become. Not by my father rules, no destruction, no guilt. Just peace.

That comes to the end of the story of Nora Quaritch. Thank you all so much for reading I appreciate all the comments and all the reads and love and support really for this book. I love you all.
Now before I do go, I will be writing another story. But this time it will be the daughter of Tonowari, she will be the eldest but not as in Neteyams age. She will be around 21 or so. She's the big older sister of Tsireya and Aonung. Lemme know if I should write it. Or a book on Tsireya and a lover.
