Hello everyone! I know I said I'm returning on the 18th of June but I couldn't stand being on hold any longer! 😆 So I have returned and as its half term and I only have two weeks left of exams after half term *victory dances*, I am updating again, yay! So here is a Ron chapter as Ron is after Draco, hope you enjoy! 😁✨

It was a casual afternoon and you were on your way to lunch in the great hall with Harry, Ron and Hermione. You just had Defence Against the Dark Arts with no usage of defensive spells, Umbridge set you long essays for homework to complete. Which really got on your nerves! "This is ridiculous, I love writing and all but this...this is all too much!" Hermione complained with her books all spread across the gryffindor table.

"Well if Hermione even says it's all too much, we are all screwed!" Ron added, you couldn't help but laugh. You and the trio really hated Umbridge and her new rules, she was practically taking over the whole school! "I don't think she can hang any more of those rule plaques on the wall out there! I feel like we are in military camp!" You remarked, Hermione and Harry were the only ones who laughed as they understood what a military camp was. You were a muggleborn and non-magic parents, like Hermione.

"What the bloody hell is a military camp?" Ron asked feeling rather confused.

"It's where soldiers train to fight, Ron. Some Muggles take up the job as a soldier and fight in countries for their own. Military camps have very strict rules" you explained as you grabbed a rather nice looking chocolate muffin. I had a nice gooey chocolate inside, which persuaded you to eat another.

"Oh right, interesting" he replied, also grabbing some food. You ate your lunch peacefully and complained about Umbridge and the new Inquisitorial Squad. "You know Malfoy's the leader of the stupid squad thing Umbridge made up?" You said, the three Gryffindor's nodded "Malfoy took house points from me today, just for being in the library for more than 2 hours! I swear he is taking it as an advantage!"

Hermione had a shocked looked on her face; Harry and Ron just rolled their eyes. "Well he would, this is Malfoy" Harry said reading the daily prophet.

"Say, talking of the library" Ron began "Y/N could you help me with our DADA essay which was set today?"

"Yeah. I can help" you replied and smiled. Hermione looked a little jealous "I would've asked you Hermione. But you've probably got a lot of essays to handle yourself" Ron added trying to not make the atmosphere as awkward. Hermione just replied with a simple "its fine."

You all then left for your next lessons, which dragged and bored the hell out of you. With Unbridge's annoying demanding voice sounding the corridors with her announcements and Malfoy with his bunch of idiots strutting round like they own the place, you didn't think your day would get any better. By the time you reached your common room after your last lesson before dinner, you were exhausted. You trudged off in through the portrait door; you dived to the sofa face first, ending taking all the room. You groaned with frustration and berried your head in your arms "you alright their Y/N?" Ron asked as he walked in with Harry, Hermione not long behind.

You sat up and ran your hand through your hair, you then faced the three and laughed "yeah, just exhausted." You said tiredly.

"Couldn't agree more" Harry replied "why don't we head down to dinner? It starts in around five minutes." You agreed and stood up following the trio to the great hall. You walked in and sat yourselves at the Gryffindor table. Surprisingly dinner went quicker than you expected, you were hungrier than you thought and ate more than you usually did. "Hungry were you?" Hermione asked laughing, you laughed with her and replied "apparently so!" But you didn't complain, you loved food.

You smiled and talked about usual topics and laughed how Umbridge looks like a toad. "Honestly, don't not you think she is toad like?" Ron asked stuffing his face with food. You, Harry and Hermione erupted with laughter and clenched your stomachs. As your laughs sounded the hall, you noticed at the corner of your eye Malfoy and his gang glaring at you. "Obviously some people do not undertand our humour" you pointed out to Hermione turning your head towards the Slytherins. This made you laugh even more and your stomach ended up hurting so badly, you couldn't eat anymore.

"Shall we get to the library then Ron?" You asked as you calmed down and finished your dinner. "Yeah sure, see you guys later" he replied, waving off Hermione and Harry walking out the great hall with you to the library.

You reached the ancient doorway to the library with Ron next to you, you walked in and found and empty table in a corner by an arched window. Ron pulled out a chair for you to sit, you thanked hi and sat down; Ron opposite you. Getting your new defence against the dark arts books out, you began to help Ron with the essay which was set today.

The homework was to right a full 2000 word essay on the spell Expelliarmus, you thought this was pointless as it didn't help you to defend yourself but you had to do it anyway. "Ok, so first to start the essay you need to write an introduction, which should just briefly say what the spell is and what it is and what it does" you began explaining, but you realised Ron wasn't paying any attention and was smiling at you. You looked up at him and asked "why are you looking at me like that?"

Ron snapped back into reality and apologised "sorry, continue." You laughed and began explaining again "then after your introduction, go through how to cast it and the effects of the spell for the victim you are casting the spell at." You and Ron started writing, but you caught glimpses of him smiling at you. You looked up at him and smiled back, yet confused as to why he was looking at you in that way.

The light of the moon shone through the window, you sat by and illuminated your working space. "Beautiful isn't it, the moon" you said out loud looking up in awe. Ron chuckled and agreed "yeah it is, could you check if this sounds alright?"

"Yeah sure" you answered, looking over Ron's parchment reading through his essay. "It's perfect, nicely done!" You said looking at Ron. The light of the moon made his blue eyes sparkle, making butterflies fly around in your stomach. You could feel yourself blush; you looked away and read through yours. Ron didn't take his eyes off you, you could see his smile shine towards you. "Shall we get going then?" He asked, you nodded and got up same time he did.

You were closer to each other than you thought, his warm presence warming yourself up. You looked into each other's eyes and smiled shyly. You never felt like this before, maybe it was because you have never been this close with a boy before, or you've never had someone smile the way Ron smiled at you just now, before? You seemed to be in a trance as you didn't look away, Ron then tucked a loose hair behind your ear and closed the space between you.

He kissed you softly on the lips, making your body warm up instantly. Butterflies swimming round and round in your stomach as you kissed him back. He pulled away first, revealing his shining smile. You blushed a deep crimson and smiled back, you've never felt like this before, you have never been happier. What does this mean? Were you and Ron a thing now? Or was it just a one off? You didn't know, the only thought that swam around in your mind was the that you two had just kissed.
