Ron x Reader

"That was great game!" Ginny exclaimed excitedly putting her broom away in the burrows' garage after a fun and competitive game of Quidditch. You've been staying at the Burrow for the last few weeks of summer before term starts again. You've been with Weasley household ever since first year.

"Yeah, bloody fantastic" Ron said, sarcasm dripping off his words "You were totally cheating Ginny!"

"I was not! You just aren't good enough!" She replied before storming off. You forced yourself not laugh, grinning instead.

"She's probably gone to find Harry to gain sympathy" Ron remarked a frown on his face, you turned to face him and noticed a sad look in his eyes.

"Am I really that bad at Keeper?" He asked not to anyone specific.

You smiled over at him "You are good Ron, Ginny's probably just trying to wind you up. It's what sisters do"

Ron smiled "Yeah, probably right"

"In fact Ron, you should sign up for the Gryffindor Quidditch team this year. As Keeper, of course" you suggested

"Oh I don't know, I'll probably make a fool out of myself" He mumbled rubbing the back of neck. You placed a hand on his shoulder reassuringly "No you won't, your a good Keeper Ron. Plus you won't be against Ginny, you'll be on the same team"

"I don't know-"

"Oh come on! I'm trying out this year, as chaser"

"I guess I could"

"Yeah and we'll defiantly beat Slytherin!"

"Again!" He added, making you laugh as you both walked back into the Burrow. He placed a friendly arm round you're shoulder, making a light blush appear on your cheeks.

Little did you know their were spying twins, whispering to each other and grinning at you both mischievously.

The rest of the afternoon was filled with amusing chatter, endless games of wizard chess and gossip between yourself Ginny and Hermione, who was also staying at the burrow this summer. After chilling out in Ginny's room you walked down the rickety staircase to grab yourself a drink.

Walking out into the kitchen you gabbed your drink and felt an arm on shoulder. You turned to face a grinning Fred. "Fred" you acknowledged grinning yourself "What brings you into the kitchen"

"Oh, just thought I would engage myself in conversation with the pretty lady standing before me" Fred replied. You couldn't fight off the blush on your cheeks, noticing in the corner of your eye an angry Ron in the doorway.

"Pretty is she?" You asked in reply, only making Fred grin even more.

"Beautiful in-"

"Alright Fred that's enough, go bother someone else" Ron remarked storming in pushing Fred away. Fred's facial didn't change and walked out into the corridor.

"Fred's such a prat" Ron said, still glaring at him.

"Ron are you jealous?" You asked eyebrows raised.

"N-no I'm not!" He tried to protest, you raised your eyebrows even more and placed your drink on the side.

Ron then said rather confidently "What if I was? Going to do anything about it?"

You thought for a few seconds What will I do? Should I take the opportunity?

A small smirk crept on your lips, This is what I'm going to do Ron

You grabbed Ron's shoulders and pulled him into a kiss.

Opportunity taken.

"Knew it!" Fred and George said rather loudly from the doorway.
