NOT PASSIVE, BUT AGGRESSIVE
"James." Cory hissed, "Control yourself, please! She's with them and it won't do us any good going after her. There will be more humans — There's always more!" The dirty-blond hissed back, irritated as it is. Bella's scent set him off, that hunting urge deep inside of him. He couldn't simply turn it off, either. Cory shook her head at him, "Forget about her, you ass."

Not helping the situation, Victoria tugged at her mate's arm, a seductive smile tugging her lips upwards. She had this glint behind her eyes too, and that only seemed to encourage James' behavior. "We could find a way to get her, yeah?" Victoria said.

Walking in a quick pace in front of the three, Laurent cut through trees in the woods. These were one of the few times when he couldn't bring himself to be around James or Victoria — He was annoyed. "We won't be after the girl. You two would be smart to listen to me and Cory." He said, harsh. Every so often, there would be times that the mates simply wouldn't listen. They were ambitious. Too ambitious for Laurent to keep up with them at times.

Cory felt relieved to have been heard, to have someone on her side. "See?" She said, "Even Laurent thinks so, and he's almost always right. Let's just go north, like we planned in the first place. We can find someone else to drink — It's not like she has magical blood or something."

But, Cory's 'tempting' words didn't ease the situation either. No. James was too immersed, and his mate was right there at his side for the entire situation. Both hadn't been the best at holding themselves back. And once something was fun, the two were already in on it. Laurent had to completely stop his walking, turning back to the man in a flash and with a snarl. "James, you will listen to me." He snapped, barring his teeth.

A smirk lifted onto the man's face. Taking a couple of steps towards Laurent, he scrutinized him. His gaze went hard and stiff. It's like he was still entranced by Bella's scent from before. He seemed to be the only one who had caught it so strongly. "We don't recognize your authority anymore, Laurent." He smiled. The words were almost friendly sounding if the context was removed. "Victoria and I have decided to leave you," he pretended to pout, "But, don't worry. You'll still have Cory."
