BIRTHDAY GIRL BLISS! "It's Bella's birthday!" This was one of the trillionth times that Vance and Cory had heard the words flow from Alice's overexcited mouth. Ever since she found out, which had been a few months, Alice had been counting the days leading up to the human girl's birthday. How couldn't she be excited though? It was her best friend's birthday, and it was the first birthday that the Cullen family would be celebrating in over four decades — seeing as Emmett was their last birthday celebration. No, even Vance or Cory got to celebrate theirs. So, this was pleasant excitement.
Snickering, Cory nodded, as if to say that's obvious. "Trust us — We know. We've watched you count the days — Hours, even."
"You made us go to the store for birthday presents." Vance added, slight disinterest in the conversation as his eyes lingered on Cory. "Not to mention, she hasn't shut up about it."
Rolling her eyes, Alice lifted her leather satchel into her hand from the chair it rested on. Just the night before, she came home with too much excitement, tossing her bag into a forgotten place — ushering everyone to the store days prior, only to make them go the night before Bella's birthday too. Flittering towards the door, Alice mocked the blond boy, "You're just jealous that your only friend is Cory."
