"Rory we don't need to study every minute of every day, You're doing to wear yourself out and then you won't have enough energy to take the test on Friday." I took the study book away from her.
"Jade you don't understand I need a good grade on this test, I need to know every single detail about Shakespeare." she told me talking the book back.
"Your insane my beautiful sister you are insane. You've been studying since the very moment we got home from school. Have you even eaten since we got home?" I asked concerned
"No but I'm not hungry I need to study." She responded
"Alright come on." I took her hands and pulled her out of her seat.
"Jade I need to study." She tried pulling back
"Honey you can find out what brand and color his first underwear were later, right now we're gonna go eat cause one thing I know about Shakespeare is that he too had to eat to survive." I pulled her out of the living room and then out of the house.
"How are you not stressing over this test?" Rory asked as we were walking to Luke's.
"I dunno i'm just not, I know it's going to be hard but I've studied the same I have for every other test and so far that's got me here so I'm just not that worried." She sighed and stopped walking.
I turned to her confused "I got a D." She confessed.
"D as in dinosaur?" I asked
"Our last test, I got a D Jade. I've never got a D before!" She explained to me.
"That's why your studying so hard? Rory why didn't you tell me, This whole time I thought you became a complete brainiac." I joked trying to cheer her up.
"This isn't a joking matter Jade, I'm so embarrassed I couldn't even tell you and mom." She told me
"It's not that big of a deal Rory chilton is hard and you just haven't caught up yet." I said to her
"But you got an A- and we started at the same time, maybe I just lost my spark." She stated as we started walking again.
"You did not lose your spark Rory don't think like that, the reason I'm not behind is because I got extra notes to help me catch up remember?" I continued "Listen when we get home I'll help you study as much as you want." I suggested
"Okay. Hey you know mom has a student teacher meeting thingy today" She switched the subject
"Oh yeah, how do you think that's gonna go?" I giggled as we walked in the diner and took our seats at a random table.
"well she probably won't get on the PTA but she'll survive." She shared her opinion
"What are you guys talking about?" Luke chimed in
"Mom is going to a parents teacher meeting in about a half an hour." I filled him in
"Yikes, What do you guys want to order?" he asked us.
"2 burgers and nacho cheese fries." I ordered as Luke walked away to make our food. we ate our food and then headed home.
A few hours of studying and mom came home. "hey mom!" We both greeted her
"Hey girls, so Rory I met mr madina." she informed
"oh"
"Why didn't you tell me about your grade? This whole time me and Jade thought you were going manic with all this studying!" she explained
"It was to humiliating" She continued
"Oh sweetie you once told me you like saved by the bell, what could be more humiliating than that." She responded
