Dipper and Mabel were having breakfast at the time and then Grunkle Stan shouted "Me and my brother decided to go camping!"
"YAY!!" Dipper and Mabel both shouted
"Now you two better start packing"
"Okay!"
Mabel and Dipper got to packing "Where did your vest go Dipper" Mabel asked
"I don't know" he lied "Must have lost it"
"How could you have lost your vest when you wear it every day!! I'll look for it down stairs"
Now Dipper was really scared now, his sister didn't know that he gave it to a dragon and if he told her she would go NUTS!! Just then Dipper heard a loud bang on the window. He tried to look out but it was covered in dirt so he opened it and the baby dragon he met last night headbutted right into him!!
"What are you doing here!" Dipper whispered, not wanting Mabel to hear him
The dragon gave a quiet squeak as if it knew Dipper's concern. It cuddled in Dipper's arms as if it was thanking him.
"How did you find me" Dipper asked
The dragon hopped out of Dipper's arms and went out the window again when it came back it had his blue vest in its mouth.
"My vest! You brought it back!"
The dragon nodded and gave Dipper his vest. He put it on.
"Thank You"
The dragon squeaked in reply but then it perked its head up and hid under Dipper's pillow. Then Dipper realized that someones coming.
"HEY DIPPER, WHO YOU TALKING TO!!!!!" Mabel shouted while bursting into the room
"Uuuuhhhh, no one"
"HEY, you found your vest!! You should get to packing again"
"Yeah"
"Well, I'm putting my stuff downstairs"
Mabel grabbed her stuff and went downstairs
The dragon's head popped out from under Dipper's pillow. Dipper smiled at it and started packing his stuff, the dragon curiously looked at him.
"I'm going camping" Dipper whispered to the dragon
Once Dipper packed all his stuff the dragon stuffed itself in dipper's bag.
"You want to go to?"
The dragon gave a squeak
"Okay then, I guess you can"
Dipper closed his brown bag, put it on his back, and went downstairs
Mabel was waiting at the front door
"There you are" Mabel said
Grunkle Stan and Grunkle Ford appeared into the room
"Are we all ready?" said Grunkle Stan
"Yeah!" both Mabel and Dipper hollered
"Then let's get moving!"
They all went into the forest, their camping trip had begun.
"March, march, march, march" Mabel repeated
Dipper could see that the dragon sometimes peeked out of his bag to see the new surroundings
"Here, this would be a good camping place" Ford said pointing to a clearing
"YAY" Mabel exclaimed "I packed the smores"
They set there camp up and it was dawn by the time they were done
"Hey Dipper, can you go get some firewood?" asked Grunkle Stan
"Sure!" this was a good time to learn more about the dragon
He went out into the woods, once he thought he was far enough he set down his bag and opened it. The dragon poked its head up and got out of the bag.
"You hungry? I saved some hot dogs for you"
The dragon sniffed at it then shook its head no. It walked to a bush with berries and squeaked at it
"You want these?" he asked
The dragon squeaked and nodded yes. Dipper picked off some berries and the dragon squealed in delight. He gave it the berries and picked up some firewood while he was at it. The dragon finished eating when Dipper had enough firewood, he sat down tired and the dragon crawled over to curl up on his lap. Then Dipper thought, "What should I name the dragon?!"
He thought of some names, "Bob, Sam, Charlie" WAIT! Those are all boy names, what if it was a girl! He didn't know.
"Keyray" a faint voice said
Dipper looked around but he saw no one, what if the dragon said that. He looked down at it and it looked up at him.
"That's your name?" Dipper asked
It nodded.
"What you name" again the faint voice said
Dipper then realized he hasn't introduced himself yet.
"I'm Dipper" he said
Keyray purred at his name.
There was a pause.
"We should be heading back"
Keyray nodded and ran inside Dipper's bag. Dipper closed it, grabbed the firewood, and headed back to the camp wondering what laid ahead of him...
