They got up and all hugged me. "Woah, I know it's been a month since our last group hangout but you guys don't have to hug me so tight." They all let go and Eva said "Come on, still no love interest? How long are we going to wait?" I take my jacket off and say "I could ask the same thing about you?" Eva rolls her eyes and we sit down. I kept quite for the beginning part, eating because I didn't want my ice-cream to melt.

"So what jobs did you guys get?" I asked. Eva replied "You know mine already." I laugh and say "Of course I do." Jake said "Well, I'm working on becoming a professional rugby player." I reply "That amazing. I'm sure you'll do amazing. I've seen you play."

Leo then spoke "Well, I'm looking after my mother's store. I've become a florist." I said "Well, I heard you do quite well there. And don't you like plants?" Leo replied "Yes, I do. What did you start doing for a job?" I could tell that Eva wanted to say it but she knew I wanted to say it as well. "I started working in the film industry. Script writing, helping on the set, and all the extra stuff. Just not acting. I'm a terrible actor." Eva then replied "If you're a terrible actor, then how do you stay so calm in stressful situations? Like all of your duties."

Both Leo and Jake shouted "That's awesome." I really enjoyed their company and even have Jake as entertainment. I would stare lovingly into Eva's eyes when no one was paying attention. How am I suppose to re-live my love life when it was interrupted by an unknown goddess?

We spent 3 hours just talking about what we've done in the past month. When Eva and I were talking about our own stuff, I saw Jake and Leo move to another table and giving me the thumbs up. They're leaving us alone. Now I'm scared to say something to Eva. What if I say something wrong?

"Nicolas?" called Eva. I focused my attention back to Eva and asked "Yes?" Eva replied "I asked if you were okay?" I reply, all flustered "Y-yes. O-of course I'm okay. Why did you ask?" Eva answers "Because you zoned out. Overthinking again?" I sigh and nod.

Eva moves out of the chair and then says "Why don't we go walk around in the area? It will be calm during the night time." I smile and then stand up with Eva. We walk around the block slowly and talk. Eva then speaks "It's nice spending time with you alone. I'm so glad we met 5 years ago." I reply "It is nice spending time with you too." Eva asked "I was wondering if we should go out somewhere tomorrow? Have a milkshake or something."

I reply quickly "It's a date!" Eva then asked with confusion "A date?" I replied "W-well, not a 'date' date but like a, uh, friend date with the two of us alone." Eva then replied softly "Oh, okay. Then I guess we're just going to hang out then. Just as friends." I felt so stupid inside.

Why did I say that? It would have been a date if I didn't add that complicated sentence. Well done, Nicolas. Well done. I can't believe I just did that. Maybe tomorrow I should confess.

"What time should we meet and where?" I asked. Eva replied "I'll send you a text." I nod and we arrive back at the ice-cream shop. We all end the day with goodbyes and all went home. I unlocked the door and opened it to see Iris moving the room around.

"What's going on here?" I asked. Iris replied with "Oh nothing. I just thought this room needed a change. And I got us a bunk bed to make more space in the room." I replied "Well, well, well. Look who's changing their life around." She replied sarcastically "Haha, very funny Nicolas. Hey, how's it going with 'you know who'?" I get flustered again and then fall on the bottom bunk. I groan in the pillow and then say "She asked me to go out with her tomorrow and I accidentally friend-zoned her. I did accept but only as friends. Why am I so stupid?"

Iris sits on the bunk and says "Well, are you planning on fixing that tomorrow?" I replied "Yes. Though I'm still waiting for her to message me what time, what place and what to wear." Iris pats my head and says "There, there. You'll be okay little one. Everything will work out." I said "Easy for you to say. Just because you have a boyfriend doesn't mean it will work out for me as well." Iris responds "Well, I mean, I wasn't expecting to have a woman that became trans to be my boyfriend but we both love each other. I know that Eva loves you too."
