"Is the bunny number three!" Rhae declared as Thorin laughed out happily holding it up for her. "I'm so proud of you!"

"A fine hunter already." Taelon agreed. "Like his mama."

"I'm going to catch five! Because I'm five next moon." Thorin declared. "Come on Erebor you can help!" Thorin declared as they ran off.

"This was a good idea."

"It was your idea." Taelon reminded her.

"I knew there was a reason I liked it so much." Rhae teased.

"Can I catch a deer like mama?" Thorin questioned.

"You can try." Taelon agreed. Rhae laughed out as Thorin caught another bunny he held it tight and then threw it at Taelon to carry. He secured it to the horse.

"I love you." Thorin called back.

"Yeah, yeah squirt." Taelon teased.

"I love you." Rhae coed kissing Taelon.

"And I love you." Taelon agreed pulling her closer.

""Come on I want to find a deer!" Thorin begged moving along.

"I'm going to head back." Rhae remarked.

"We will come." Taelon offered but Thorin grunted his protest.

"Stay, I hear Thoros crying." Rhae remarked.

"You hear him?" Taelon countered. "all the way out here?"

"A mother knows these things." Rhae remarked.

''An outsider... among the natives.'' Larys strong said as Alicent approached him in the gardens at the capital

''Lord Larys.'' Alicent remarked.

''Malvales. A rare bloom. Indigenous to Braavos. By all rights, it shouldn't be thriving here. Nature... such mystery.'' Larys remarked he gripped to his cane as he looked over at her.

''The weather has been lovely.'' Alicent remarked softly.

''Indeed.'' Larys agreed ''And yet it is a dark day for the realm. Your father was a good man.''

''As is yours who took his place.'' Alicent informed him.

''Yet still, the manner of your father's departure... it feels something of an injustice.'' Larys remarked and Alicent stiffened as the thunder raged on around them.

'What do you know of the matter of his leaving?" Alicent questioned stepping forward.

''When one is never invited to speak, one learns instead to, um... observe. You're perhaps in need of an ally?' Larys suggested cautiously.

''I'm the Queen. I have no shortage of allies.''

''Naturally. Princess Rhaenyra, for example.'' Larys agreed sarcastically.

''State your purpose, my lord.'' Alicent demanded.

''Uh... I did wonder if she could be relied upon now that she is... unwell.''

''Unwell? I haven't heard anything.'' Alicent countered

''Begging your pardon, Your Grace, I may be mistaken. It's just that on the very same night your father was dismissed, the Grand Maester delivered a tea to the Princess's chambers.'' Larys informed her.

''A tea?''

'Yes.'' Larys agreed

''That the Grand Maester himself brought?'' Alicent questioned confused.

''At the direction of the King, as I understand it. I do hope she's not unwell.'' Larys said kindly.

''Rhaenyra sailed with the King to Driftmark yesterday at daybreak.'' Alicent but her brain began to spiral.

''Oh, what good news. I must've been in error. Oh, a relief.'' Larys told her taking unsteady steps towards her. ''See, I thought for Mellos himself, well... her condition must be something very serious. What happiness it is to have been wrong.''

''Good morrow, Lady Rhea.''

''Cousin.'' Rhae answered stiffly.

''What's today's quarry?'' he pondered ''Rabbit?''

''Deer.'' She corrected. "Taelon and Thorin are still chasing rabbits. Thorin caught four. He is quite proud. As am I."

''Oh. Fine challenge for the little lad." Gerold remarked. Rhae offered him a small smile. "It's nice to have you home."

"It's nice to be home." Rhae agreed. "If you will excuse me, I need to get to Thoros." Rhae told him as she rode off.

'Of course, good fortune to you.' He called after her. Birds were squawking in the distance as Rhae rode farther away but suddenly her horse snorted and neighed coming to an abrupt halt. Her heart leapt into her throat when she saw Daemon.

'Daemon. What brings you to the Vale?'' Rhae said stiffly as she looked down at Daemon. Her ears heard Thoros crying, her gaze shifted just slightly to where Taelon and Thorin were still deep in the woods. They wouldnt hear her.

"You married my nephew." Daemon remarked.

"Yes." Rhae agreed.

"Why?" Daemon hissed.

"I dont answer to you." Rhae corrected. "you can fuck a sheep if you want, they might be willing, I on the other hand am very satisfied with my husband."

"What the hell did you and that prick do?"

"I fell in love with sun. He was golden." Rhae declared, Daemon huffed a breath as he got closer. "Daemon i don't even want to know you anymore."

"Taelon? Or all people. You must have been desperate." Daemon hissed.

"Why are you here? Surely you knew of our union ending. It's been almost 5 years since." Rhae remarked.

"I dont answer to you." Daemon remarked glaring up at her.

''Let me guess, perhaps your brother has at last had his fill of your company. Cast you aside in favor of Taelon as well.'' Rhae pondered.  Daemon got closer swiftly, eerily, she wanted to flee but he would attack, she knew that... she heard Thoros wailing out the handmaiden unable to settle him, her horses shifted uneasy before him.

''What will you do now? Will you strike Rhaenyra down? Try for Taelon?'' Rhae pondered but Daemon lunged forward her horse bucked sending Rhae flying off getting crushed under his weight. Her horse whinnied as Rhea grunted, she winced, and whimpered as Daemon stepped down on her arm. Satisfied that she would die on her own he walked away.

Taelon heard the horses neigh saw, he picked up Thorin and their horses ran as fast as they could. Thorin didnt understand but he thought it was a race, he had a big smile on his face on they saw Rhae on the ground, Taelon saw Daemon in the distance.

"Rhae, Rhae..." Taelon whimpered. "I will get you-"

"No." Rhae whimpered as he tried to help her up. "My head..."

"MAMA?" Thorin sobbed out.

"I'm... my head Tael..." Rhae rasped. Taelon brought a gentle hand to her head and felt the stickiness of blood. "My... arm..."

"What do I do?" Taelon demanded. "Rhae, tell me what to do!" He begged.

"Tell them I love them, everyday." Rhae requested through teary eyes but Taelon shook his head.

"You are not dying." Taelon corrected. "You can't."

"Ma-ma-mama..." Thorin whimpered out
