It's was really just dumb luck that they knew Tom. He had come over from Ireland a few years ago and got a job at the meat packing plant, Murphy and Conner had trained him and showed him around town a bit. After a few weeks he quit and the boys found out he had started selling firearms, so when Conner came knocking that afternoon Tom invited him in.

It didn't take much convincing for Tom to let Conner check out his inventory, especially when he found out who and what it was for. He left shortly after with a small handgun, a small box of ammo, and a feeling in the pit of his stomach that nothing good could come of this.

While Conner was off that afternoon Murphy and Ashley went to work finding proper security for the window. After a long discussion the three agreed they should just bar the window. Murphy called in a favor from one of the regulars at the pub who knew his way around tools and was able to come install them later that day.

When the three met up again they sat together while the boys explained how to use it. After a lot of debate she decided to keep it under her mattress, near the headboard.

"We should do something tonight guys, we haven't gone out in forever." She suggested over her shoulder to the two as she threw dinner together, in nothing but her panties and one of the boys shirts. Murphy shook his head as he took a drag from his cigarette "Nah, he just was at yer window las' night." Conner took a swig of his beer "aye lass, we should jus' stay in." She turned to face the two with a determined look on her face.

"I came here so I could have a normal life. No hiding, no running. I want to go out tonight, just down to the pub. Have a few drinks, catch up with everyone. I'd like for you two to join me." She turned back to the dinner on the stove and smirked to herself "if you won't come with me, I'm sure I could find some other company for the night."

She bit her lip stifling a laugh as she heard a chair scrape on the floor, signaling she had got the reaction she wanted out of at least one of them. She felt his broad frame press her into the counter in front of her, he lightly reached around and pulled her hair away from her ear. "I don't think tha's nessasry love." He spoke in a seductive tone, running his nose lightly up the length of her neck. "Good." It came out in more of a squeak then she was hoping.

She turned around in his grip and he leaned down, wrapped his hands around her thighs and placed her onto the counter. She was expecting him to kiss her, make her moan, feel her up but was surprised when he just cuddled into her. Nuzzling his face into the crook of her neck and inhaling her sweet strawberry scent. She looked at Conner over Murphy's shoulder and gave him a small sickly innocent smile "you too Con?" He rolled his eyes and stubbed out his smoke "Aye."

He wasn't happy about it, she knew that but she felt a little stir crazy only seeing these four walls and the ones at work. Murphy placed a light kiss on her lips, different then his usual neediness that went into all his kisses and sat her back down on her feet. "Gotta grab smokes love, I'll be back." He said as he kissed her on the forehead.

With that Murphy was gone and the mood in the apartment was tense. "You don't have to come tonight Con." She muttered as she leaned against the counter. His eyes stayed lingering on the door as he ran his thumb along his lower lip. She walked over to him and crouched down in from of him, resting her hands on his knees, startling him from his thoughts. "Conner, please talk to me."

He hadn't even heard her, he was so caught up in his own thoughts. He didn't have a good feeling about this, in fact he felt absolutely sick about it. Not just about tonight, but about everything in general. She had warned them this guy was violent and they had seen the after effects of his attack on her, but this guy stabbed a cop, might have been watching them in bed together and tried to break in because of it.
