Two and a half months.

It had been two and a half months since Ashley stepped off that bus and entered this strange new reality. She had settled in, but was getting antsy to get back to her boys.

"Ashley." Eunice echoed through the house "Come look!" Ashley set down the book she was reading and left her tea on the table as she made her way to the living room. She rested against the large door frame that led to the living room and watched the news story unravel.

"Three men, stormed the court house today...." Papa Yakavetta. He was dead. Gone. There were frantic men and women screaming on the TV about vigilantes, prayers, guns. The Saints.

Eunice and Ashley locked eyes as a smile spread across Ashley's face. Her hand found its way to her growing stomach as she rubbed small circles.

"Soon little one. We're gonna be with your Da's soon."
