Advika's POV
My bad luck was that my brother ducked just in time, and the samosa landed on the face of the person standing at the door.
When I saw the face of the person on whom the Samosa had been landed, the ground beneath my feet slipped!
Why, why, why, God?
Why does it have to be me every time?
As he blinked, the Samosa that was stuck to his nose fell off, and Garvit burst out laughing like a lunatic.
It's a good thing it wasn't dipped in Chatni, or it would have been even more embarrassing.
I gulped down the sludge that had formed in my throat and sucked in a deep breath with an open mouth. I was hell shocked to move from my place. Today I have faced so much that I can easily write 3-4 chapters in a single day.
My brother, the incarnation of the devil himself, was still teasing me by making various faces. I will undoubtedly kill him once everything is in order and the stars are on my side.
"I am sorry, Mr., for my children's behavior," my mother ran up to him and apologized on our behalf.
By the way, forget about him being my boss's son; he deserves this for what he did to me in the morning. I relaxed a bit as soon as this thought came up in my head.
"Kid!" Shravan mouthed looking at me.
"Garvit, apologize" our mother ordered her son as he would listen.
"Why would I?" He shrugged his shoulder as expected "this is Addu who has thrown the samosa at him so she should be the one who should be apologizing"
Me?
My heart stopped beating the moment all of them looked toward me and like every time I was held responsible for what has happened in the house. I am not easily scared of people, but I believe this is happening because I just ran away from him.
I actually made a mistake before even starting the job. Who knows what will happen next?
"Adu," my mother pushed me from the side, jolting me out of my reverie.
"Yes"
"Where are you lost?" she asked in my ear, "I have been asking you to apologize to him for the last minute and you are not even listening to me!" She reprimanded in hushed tones so that the man in front of us would not hear her.
"No, I will not. Request that Garvit do the same. He is to blame for everything" I returned her whisper but my voice was stern and harsh.
"She is sorry for you," my mother said while lying with a fake smile.
My head snapped toward her with wide eyes. How could she lie so easily? She squeezed my palm, telling me to keep my mouth shut.
How could she?
This is not done!
She can't take the side of her son every damn time!
"Adu baby," she said as she turned to face me, "take him to your room and help him get clean while I prepare tea for him."
"Tea? Why? "I inquired of her.
"This is how we greet our guests. Do we not?" She inquired.
"How did he become our guest?" I was actually surprised.
She doesn't even know this man and she is ready to serve him tea. What if he is a burglar?
"Stop asking questions and just do what I say. You are getting out of my hands." Before she could scold me any further, I turned on my heels and began walking.
