11| Misunderstanding & Embarrassment

Shravan's POV

As soon as she stepped out of the cabin, I slumped into my seat, seething with anger after the meeting with the chairman. I thought he had called me for some official work but Arya came into the office so he just called me also and like every other time he forced me to get settled as soon as possible.

Like every other time, he is pressuring me to get married so he could pass on his responsibilities and embark on a world tour with my mother. But I don't want to risk my life for his desires. I am not ready to marry anyone, at least not yet.

No sooner had a minute passed than I heard a disturbance at the door. I thought it was Advika returning without my coffee, and I was ready to unleash my anger on her again. But to my surprise, it was Aditya who had come and that too without invitation or permission.

He always barges into my and my chairman's office like this.

He was whistling while his hands were shoved in his pants pocket as he stepped inside. He stays in playful mood most of the time.

"Was she your newly hired secretary?" He asked and I am sure he was talking about Advika as she had just left the cabin. He must have seen her passing by.

I nodded, not in the mood to engage in conversation with anyone. I had already vented my frustration on her, and now I didn't want Aditya to become a next target of my anger.

"Damn, man! She's hot," he remarked, using the word "hot" in a deliberately exaggerated manner.

I felt a strange tug in my heart when I heard his words. I am sure I felt it because of the word he used for her. It is not appropriate to talk this way.

"Are you jealous?" He asked with a smirk on his face which I wanted to scratch.

"Jealous? And why would I? She is just an employee" I stated curtly, turning my attention back to my work.

"Oh! An employee" he mocked me, the side of his lips twitching even a more.

"See, she is hired by the chairman that's why I had to keep her with me all the time. She is so irritating that I can't even tell you"

"And sexy also!"

He drew a breath through clenched teeth.

"How could you say something like this to a girl?" I don't know why I felt so enraged that I just can't keep it to myself "You also have a sister"

"So? If I started seeing every other girl as my sister, I would end up single, which I don't want" he took a step towards me "Don't tell me, you have never seen her in that way"

His words made me go back to the day when I first saw her. Yes, I found her so attractive and mesmerizing that for a few seconds, I couldn't focus on what she was saying. I was completely lost in her beauty. And I couldn't stop my brain from becoming wild when I went to her bathroom to clean my face and get to see her underwe...

I shook my head hysterically to remove the thoughts from my head. I am at work and she is just an employee I can't think of anything like that for her. This is wrong, very wrong.

"Oh yeah! How can I forget that you are interested in men" he chuckled as he took another step forward and now he was standing close to me. He must have taken the shake of my head as 'no' to his question.

Before I could clarify the confusion he took another step towords me closing all the distance between us. I was not getting what he was trying to do.

"Have you ever thought about me, Shravan" he whispered in a low tone.
