A time skip has occurred.

Thanatos awoke, the sun's light brightened his face. As he took a deep breath, he prepared himself for what was to come later that day. Upon shifting his body, his feet slumped towards the ground and he was able to feel the hot wooden planks beneath his feet. As soon as he arose, Thanatos donned his leather sandals and walked towards the door, taking care so that the wood would not creak.

Thanatos placed his hand on the door knob and turned it slowly. Taking another breath, he swung the door open and continued walking, towards the cabin's front door. The voice of a woman could be heard coming from the front door as he approached it. Although not knowing the direction of the voice, he frantically looked around to see where it was coming from as his heart started to race.

"Child, what are you doing up so early?"

Thanatos stood motionless, his back towards the door.

The front door slowly creaked open, sweat dripping down Thanatos's face and down his legs as he tried to think of ways to justify his actions in the few seconds he had. He quickly turned around as the door fully opened.

"Thanatos, what were you hoping to accomplish just now..?", the woman asked in a tremulous tone, trying to conceal her anger. A wide grin on her face.

Thanatos attempted to take slow steps backwards hoping she wouldn't notice. Gaia, the goddess of the earth, stood before Thanatos. However, Thanatos knew her only as, 'Mother'.

Thanatos opened his mouth and tried to speak,

"U-hmn, I-I.." he muttered.

"THANATOS, YOU KNOW HOW IMPORTANT YOU ARE TO ME.." Gaia yelled.

"WHY ARE YOU TRYING TO RUN AWAY FROM ME..!?"  Gaias voice boomed throughout the cabin.

Taking another step back, Thanatos clenched his fists. As he stood in a defensive position, Thanatos muttered softly,

"I.. I wanted to see the outside world."

Gaia smiled. "My dear child. My sweet, sweet child.". "I need you. The outside world is dangerous and I cannot allow you to-." Thanatos' eyes caught Gaia's attention, so she halted her speech.

In a fit of rage, Thanatos attempted to run past Gaia. Suddenly, Gaia had unexpectedly grabbed him before he could reach the front door.

"Let me go!"  Thanatos screamed as Gaia attempted to tighten her grip.

Gaia felt her grip getting weaker and weaker and she tried to take action before Thanatos broke free, but before she could react, Thanatos had escaped her grasp and pushed Gaia backwards, rendering her unable to stop him from leaving the cabin. Thanatos ran past the front door and walked out of the cabin, leaving his mother alone.

With a thud, Thanatos turn towards the inside of the cabin and slammed the door behind him. In the brief moments before he ran out of the cabin, he could have sworn he heard Gaia say something to him.

"Come back soon.."

He breathed a sigh of relief, taking a moment to whip the sweat off his forehead, and turned around to see what was his first glimpse or the outside world. He smiled softly, looking over the landscape which consisted of large tall trees with pink leaves, bushes filled with blue-glow berries, lush green grass, and a bright blue sky. This was..
