It had been a couple of days since that night and for some reason I couldn't shake the thought of the this Nadia girl and Shuri being together.

Every moment that I was suppose to be spending with Shuri was only consumed by my overthinking. Wondering if their moments were as intimate as ours.

I felt like I deserved to know more than what I was told, and only one question continuously flooded my mind.

Why.

Why didn't she feel the need to tell me? Why did it seem like it was a secret?

Each morning that she left I couldn't help but wonder if she would be around her.

My thoughts were definitely getting the best of me.

I watched as the clock ticked. It was currently 5 in the morning and I was lying in bed alone, yet again. My sleep schedule still hasn't adjusted and most mornings I spent bored out of my mind while Shuri was away.

I thought about Riri who I missed, and who also may have some information that would ease my nerves. I picked up my phone, dialing her number.

The phone rang a few times before her face popped up on the screen.

I could tell I had just woken her up from her sleep, which was surprising since it was still kind of early there.

"Hi. I have a question." I whispered, keeping my eyes focused on the bedroom door, just in case Shuri decided to pop in at any moment.

"Why are we whispering?" She asked, also in a whispering manner.

"I'll explain later. Would you happen to know a Nadia?"

"Nadia?" She repeated, thinking it over. "No, should I?"

"I feel like we should."

"Who is she?" She asked, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes.

"Apparently Shuri's mysterious ex."

"Shuri has an ex?" She asked, sounding just surprised as I was. "Wait, how do you know this? Where's Shuri?"

"Nakia accidentally told me."

"Awe, Nakia's there? love her."

"Riri. Focus." I rolled my eyes at her asking a million questions.

"Don't you think you should just ask her about?"

Of course that made logical sense, right?

But... why didn't it feel that easy..

The double doors of the bedroom opened before I had a chance to tell her exactly what I wanted from her.

"I'll text you, love you, bye." I mumbled quickly hanging up the phone.

Shuri looked at me with a skeptical look on her face.

"Everything okay?" She asked, walking closer to me.

I forced a smile, nodding my head.

The skeptical look remained on her face as she laid in bed beside me, wrapping her arms around me and pulling me close to her.

"Why are you awake?" She asked, tucking some loose hair behind my ear.

"I'm always up at this time." I shrugged.
