The moment I pulled back, I realized Riri and Mallory weren't the only ones watching us.

"Shit..." I mumbled after catching a pair of eyes that I definitely didn't want to see.

Shuri looked over in the direction that my eyes were focused on and laughed at the sight of KJ.

This is something I did not feel like explaining right now.

"We should go." I mumbled, grabbing my things before anyone had a chance to protest.

"We're leaving already? It's just getting started." Riri whined like a child.

"I think you two have had enough fun for all of us." I responded earning a chuckle from Shuri.

We walked out of the building, Riri and Mallory dragging their feet behind us. I wasn't sure if it was because they really didn't want to leave or because they were way past tipsy.

Sighs filled the car as they slumped in their seats. You would've thought I had just taken the best thing in the world away from them.

"Don't tell me we had to leave because your boy toy saw you kissing your ex?" Mallory asked, her voice full of disappointment.

"Boy toy? KJ and I are just friends."

At least that's what I told him...

"Right... Friends" She said emphasizing the word friends. "You sleep with all of your friends?"

My eyes widened hearing the statement come from her mouth and my head immediately snapped in Riri's direction.

"Mallory.." She sounded just as surprised as I felt.

"Riri!" I called out, feeling myself starting to fill with anger.

"I swear I didn't tell her!" She responded and Shuri gave her a confused look through the rear view mirror.

This night is just going great.

I could tell by Shuri's clenched jaw and how tight she was gripping the steering wheel that she was upset.

My constant leg shaking and folded arms told everyone else that I was upset.

I wasn't upset that Shuri knew, she was bound to find out. I was more upset that it was someone I considered to be my friend that revealed it.

Especially when I didn't even tell her.

The rest of the ride back was quiet and the moment that Shuri pulled into a parking space Mallory and Riri almost jumped out of the car before she could even switch gears.

"Wait." Shuri said, grabbing my arm as I reached for the door handle. "I just want you to know... I'm not mad."

"It kind of looked like you were."

"We weren't together." She shrugged. "You probably weren't expecting us to get back together either."

I nodded, looking straight ahead and not at her though she was burning holes in the side of my face.

"We're good. I promise." She said, reaching for my hand and lacing our fingers together. "I just have to know though." I could see her smirk from my peripheral, "Was he better than me?"

My quick moment of shock turned into laughter as I shook my head.

"Nope, we're not doing this."

"Why not?"

"Shuri, why would I talk to my ex about one of my hookups?"

She shrugged, playing with the ring that sat on my finger.
