Haruki don't remember- no. He didn't know much about his real father at all. He once ask his mother about where his father, but much to his surprise, his mother tell him everything that he wants to know. He sometimes envy the kids outside, who walks with their father. They hugs each other, walking together, sometimes, their father piggyback them.
Haruki feels jealous, but that's not how he should feel at all.
He knew that his father's name is Satoru Gojo. As his mother never show him a picture of him, as her reason is she didn't have his picture at all. But, she told him that he just look like him. 100%. Copy and paste.
Haruki also know that his mother relationship with his father is not good. If it were, why they are not together in the first place? Sometimes, he woke up in the middle of night. He saw his own mother sleep walking. She, standing, crying, begging this man, called Satoru to stop hitting her. Sometimes, Haruki could hear what his mother thought about him.
"You said you don't want this shit, right? You said it's Yuji's right? But why, why he looks just the same as you! I hate you! Why you do this to me!" She keep yelling, not every night though. Sometimes, Hiromi Higuruma- or Haruki calls him daddy, came into the room and put his mother back to sleep.
In the morning, his mother does not remember anything at all. In fact, she keep whispering sweet words and things to Haruki, just like a kind and wonderful mother. Hence, Haruki, a 5 years old take the initiative to ask his daddy, what had happened to his mother?
Hiromi, as straightforward and simple person told him everything. Haruki finally know, that her mother got divorced in a cruel way. During that time, her mother is carrying him in her womb. She ran through the rain- even though she despise rain the most, wandering like a lost child. Hiromi told him that he and auntie Aria helps Mio when she woke up.
Daddy Hiromi gives her shelter, give her money, helps her to get her driving's license and in fact, get Haruki to his pre-school. Haruki could feel the fatherly love from Hiromi, even though he is not his father. Judging by how it looks, daddy Hiromi loves his mother like his own sister- or maybe, daughter? Haruki didn't know how to describe it, but yeah.
After he knew all of this story, Haruki pity his mother more. What a useless father he had. Well yeah. He didn't want to live with that kind of father. If he really his child, or maybe, could he even check for Haruki and his mother well-being, even just for once? All of the money use are solely from his mother, daddy Hiromi and sometimes, auntie Aria.
Also, Haruki notices something. He could see, ghost? He didn't know what to call it, but it seems like daddy Hiromi and auntie Aria could not see it. Hence, he decided to tell his mother in the very morning about it.
"Hm? You could see that, Haruki?" Mio points to a curse, low grade that is sitting on their room cabinet. As it's not that dangerous, Mio decided that she let them be.
"Yes. It's small, black in colour and fluffy." He explained. Mio nod. She sigh.
"Alright. I'm gonna tell you the truth, but promise me, do not tell anyone about this." Mio thought for a while. In the end, she need to tell Haruki or else, he might find information from a suspicious platform. Even worse, he shows his curse technique- which possibly he possess.
Haruki simply nod. Mio stand up, exiting the bed before she tie her hair. From what she know, Hiromi already off to work. Aria is visiting her family at Hokkaido, so no one would be here, at least now.
Mio concentrate her curse energy, making a fire appear on her palm. Haruki's eyes widened, in amazement. He shift closer to the end of the bed, as he wants to see the fire that her mother made.
"Haruki, I'm a sorcerer. Ex-sorcerer, probably. Your father is one too. His name, like I always tell you, Satoru Gojo. He's the strongest sorcerer in this era. He possess six eyes. Okay, that's enough. So, I assume you do have curse energy, but you can't still use it or you can, but it takes time to practice. Understand?" Mio stop. Maybe, she should ask Haruki if he understand or not.
"Yes. I understand, mommy."
"Good. Next, what you see is curses. A small one like that, a low grade curse. In jujutsu world, we have grades for curses and sorcerer. Grade 4, the bottom of the pyramid. Grade 3, semi-grade 2, grade 2, semi-grade 1, grade 1, special grade 1 and special grade. Your father is special grade sorcerer, as he possess six eyes. He has immeasurable curse energy. For me, well, I suppose that I'm grade 2 sorcerer. There's once, I could get promoted but yeah, things happened." Mio sigh.
"I understand, mommy. But, you can exclude father if you want. It makes the explanation long." Haruki politely demanded. Mio nod.
"So, I posses the ability to control fire. Creating and controlling their own fire is the main trait of Sasaki clan. But for me, I can control any fire, sparks. You name it. Also, I can extinguish any fire, whether made by human or anything. I haven't test it to another sorcerer but that's it. As for your father, he has Limitless technique. To put it on simple way, his technique can manipulate space, even at atomic level. So, yeah. I'm not sure what kind of technique you will develop, Haruki. So, I need to explain it." Mio then turn around, before she summon a bow, made of fire.
Haruki seems amaze by her mother's power, so he step down and walks towards Mio. As Haruki is quite tall for his age, he already reach Mio's thigh. Mio extinguish her bow, before pet her son's hair.
"It's beautiful! I hope that I can manipulate fire too, mommy." He smile.
"Oh dear. You can't choose your technique, Haruki. Also, don't come too close if I summon anything from fire next time, because it's hot." Mio reminds him.
"Sure mommy!"
"Like I've said, do not tell daddy Hiromi, auntie Aria or-"
"Anyone about this. I promise." He smile.
"Good."
