I was on my way back home from school. It was a beautiful day and the sun was high in the sky. My jacket was in a tight grip under my arm since it was way too hot to have it on. My mind wandered off as I was looking at the people around me - children playing football, parents drinking coffee in the sun and teenagers laying in the grass - enjoying every second. I had always said it felt like everyone started to live the moment summer was on its way. People were outside cherishing each day of warmth and sunshine.
Suddenly my eyes focused on one specific boy amongst the teenagers in the grass. Harry. I panicked and turned around to find another way home but in my hurry I managed to stumble and fell to the ground. Laying there I heard footsteps coming closer. I opened my eyes only to see Harry bending down over me.
"How come I always find you on the ground? You know when they say falling for someone they don't mean literally", he laughed and reached out his hand to help me up. I took it and got up on my feet again.
"What are you doing here?" I asked.
"One of my best friends lives here and I also love hanging out in this little town because there are almost never any paparazzi here."
I nodded as an answer. I knew it was true. Niall had said the exact same thing a couple of weeks ago when I asked him why we were at my house most of the time instead of in his apartment.
Harry said he wanted to introduce me to his friends. He put his big, strong hand around my wrist and led me back to his friends.
After I had been introduced to them one of Harry's friends said to me: "Oh, you are Niall's girl, aren't you?"
I looked at Harry whose smile turned into a frown when he heard the words "Niall's girl". His grip around my wrist tightened. But I ignored him and said: "Yes, I am Niall's girl."
I got along great with Harry's friends and we spent the entire afternoon together. When the sun was on its way down, I decided it was time to go home. Harry insisted on driving me home and I was a bit tired so I didn't object.
When we arrived at my house, Harry stepped out of the car and opened the door for me. He held his hand out to help me out of the car but this time I ignored it and got out of the car on my own. I tried to hurry into the house but once again Harry took a strong grip around my wrist and turned my body toward his.
His green eyes looked straight into mine as he lent forward whispering in my ear with his raspy voice: "You are no one's girl, you got that, he doesn't own you."
His voice and the fact that his lips were so near my ear made my whole body tremble. I couldn't ignore the fact that he had made me all warm inside. My body wanted more of him but my mind was already thinking about Niall.
